lubui2583 Not true. Tisha had worked with Martin prior to the show in those 2house party movies. They remained good friends. Martin confessed to having a big crush on her and promised her that he'd find a place for her with his new deal. Shortly after that Martin signed a deal with fox television for the Martin TV show, and he kept his promise to her. Her only stipulation was that he write in a best friend character for her and give the part to her real life best friend Tischina Arnold (aka Pam) and the rest is TV gold.
This ranks up there with Fred Sanford saying "All he had to do is stick Aunt Esther's face in dough to make Gorilla cookies!" On Sanford and Son. Too damn funny. 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@brendacarr9941 The episode of Martin was when Gina killed Martin's Mama Bird, " To Kill a Talking Bird." The episode of Sanford and Son was when Fred thought he was dying because he ate some eight day old collard greens. It was called "Libra Rising all over Lamont."
Which is why she was the perfect nemesis for him because she's the antithesis of Martin just like Aunt Esther was to Fred Sanford and Marcy Darcy was to Al Bundy. They're all the perfect foils for one another.
You can tell many of Pam's jokes got to Martin. Particularly when she joked about his size (male ego), and his job failures. I would argue it is Pam who intimidated and provoked him a lot more.
Her best one was when she said Martin had to have some Lucky Charms and then said "They're magically delicious" behind the counter. Martin was laughing on that one.
micheal johnson I think that’s the point. Martin knows her hair looks good but women are insecure about their hair he had to resort to imaginary low blows in order to keep up with Pam. It was a love hate relationship and they both clowned each other giving us some of the best tv moments. Ppl read to deep into stuff
I agree with you on that one. Like does everything have to be a competition. That is why I usually am not comfortable being around most guys and I am a man myself. Most of men's conversations are overly competitive, loud, and very extra at times. I definitely know how to be a man but I still know how to even myself out and still not be so extra competitive and what not with everything and can be normal/decent at times as well That is just me. #Respect #GoodDay/Night
"You know what, Martin? I think there's a spot for you on Hee Haw." "Is that right, Pam? I forgot that was you opening up every show, huh? HEE-HAW!!! HEE-HAW!!!" 😂😂😂😂 💀💀💀💀
30 years later...still a top rated show in heavy rotation..still taking away ratings from other networks. Still gaining new fans...timeless comedy, can fit in any decade.
If yall watched the show as much as I do you would notice everytime Martin thought to himself he would compliment Pam like "Damn Pam look good in that dress.....Ion like swine thoe".
ghettolife, I don't know how old you are, but have you heard her and Gina sing "don't ask my neighbor"? If not, type it in and listen. The woman has pipes too!
The Martin vs Pam shenanigans were the lifeblood of this show. It actually made me think that they should have been a couple. Then again, Martin got into it with Gina a couple of times, too. Especially in the No Love Lost episode. Gina left him smoking. XD *PEEEEEACE*!
That was funny when Martin said "prove my razor works and shave your back" I also lost it there when Pam said "there's a spot for you on heehaw" Martin "is that right Pam? I forgot that was you opening up every show heehaw heehaw" XD!!!! I think Martin won this round on this video here. I love watching Martin too see him and Pam go at each others throats with crack jokes it makes me laugh so hard, sure does bring me back memories from my childhood. I lost it when he said "I gotta problem with your breath smelling like train smoke" and Tommy and Cole laughing was hilarious it's 2016 and I still love watching Martin every time it comes on t.v.
