Martina Hingis vs Lindsay Davenport 1998 Tokyo Final Highlights. If u like my HL's please consider making a donation to my paypal www.paypal.me/... really grateful for whatever you can give during these covid hit times.
Both extremely talented in different ways. Davenport's groundstrokes and swinging volleys were deadly. Hingis has the best court sense during this era.
I loved watching these two great champions play. A great match up and a very balanced rivalry. Tokyo was one of my favourite tournaments in the late 90's / early 00's. Great surface for attacking tennis the encourages you to come to net.
WOOOOO!! What a way to end the match! That leg and I said get up there Lindsay put it away! And she said Nah even if this is going wide… Ima end the match with a fabulous Swinging backhand volley! What. A . Match. Lindsay’s forehand cross court was literally on fire this day! She really is the perfect example of how to remained balanced in one’s ground strokes. She times it so well! I love how when the ball is low, She gets down and just simply SMACKS that ball with perfect precision and power. And the weight she puts behind her ground strokes! She’s my favorite woman’s tennis Player, along with the Williams sisters . If these ladies were on their game, NO Other players could take it to them. Not Graff… not anyone. If they were on, they were unstoppable. I love them all so much. Cheers to this era of beautiful Tennis. Hopefully one day we will see it again. During this time the men’s side of tennis was doing incredible as well.
