It's Marty! Here he is with the monster sketch where he takes his pet monster to the vet only to find out that the vet doesent know anything about them. Enjoy!
There's this Icelandic actor / director who looks a bit like Marty Feldman (especially in the 80s); www.google.co.uk/search?q=sigurður+sigurjónsson+leikari&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjz2b26wOPsAhXk2OAKHanUDwwQ2-cCegQIABAB&oq=sigurður+sigurjónsson+leikari&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQAzoECCMQJzoCCAA6BAgeEApQh3lYzYsBYNuQAWgAcAB4AIABiwGIAdsHkgEDMC44mAEAoAEBwAEB&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=hsufX_P-J-Sxgwepqb9g&bih=449&biw=320&prmd=imvn&hl=en
i love how he can do such a blatantly bumbling, uneducated, crass type of accent, and then just switch and do something completely the opposite. so funny.
Marty is, as always, brilliant, but what is truly impressive is how Tim Brooke-Taylor, a great comedian in his own right, plays such a great, and self-effacing, and perfect second - true genius. The ladies are also spot on.
One of my all time favorite comedy sketches, thank you for posting it. What ever "It" was, Marty seemed so happy to own one. That guy at the end who we only see briefly (John Junkin) was in the Beatles A Hard Day's Night.
OMG this is so funny. I only watched this because I'm studying pathology and had to find someone famous who had hyperthyroid disorder ANd Marty Feldman has that, hence his bulgy eyes. But I'm laughing so hard right now! I need to see more!
I agree and actually liked this sketch. I just can't understand why people can't enjoy different forms of entertainment on RU-vid without having to diss other forms. Every Rolling Stones song has people saying that they're better than the Beatles. Every Beatles song has people commenting that all modern music is crap. NFL clips have people saying that soccer is better. Then people start debating soccer vs football. Ugh.
I've come looking for this because this sketch has stuck with me for 50 years. I never noticed before, the guy at the end was in A Hard Day's Night with the Beatles. Now I'm off for the British Royalty sketch where they hide a camera in a horse.
@redredreds100 All sit-coms no matter what country they come from suck. The only purpose they serve is to entice people into watching fucking commercials. Regardless You do realize that England has produced some absolute garbage as well right? How about this, you admit that all comedy coming out of England isn't pristine, and I'll help you locate some of the few good comedy shows made here? On a side note thank you for Ricky Gervais Stephen Merchant, and Karl Pilkinton!
@OneFIew I'm american, and a high school freshman. I love Marty--and Fawlty Towers. British humor is often extremely funny because it is witty--intelligent. I'm not putting down all American comedians (Marx Brothers, Abbott and Costello were awesome)--but I have to agree many of them don't have taste. Take the 3 stooges for instance. It's all physical humor--I don't find it very funny at all.
happy hanukah? merry kwanzaa? allah bless it..spelling is more important than meanings...climb the mountain one day...tell your friends who can spell..if they can also climb mountains.... little know fact, dumb people and bad spellers climb more mountains..
Oh thank you so much for the memory. Now I know why show resides in my brain as a vague, but very loved memory. I want to see the sketch where he "hid a camera inside a horse" so he could observer royalty in their natural habitat.
That is true. Another thing that Americans forget (or more likely, were never aware of) is that in the early 20th century, their country was regarded as 'backward' and 'uncouth'.
I love how in the top comments there's some stuck up brit insulting the U.S and in reply some venesuelan complaining about how thoughtless american shows are in regard to his country, what's the point? When do british comedians point out how much of latin america has white roots? This video is completely unrelated to the U.S.
