I love the question about being suck on an island. He already lives on an island. Even more ironic was his answer because he is literally surrounded by hundreds of gorgeous woman who all live on that island.
2:42 "What is your favorite thing about living in Japan?" Marty: "My favorite thing about living in Japan is the music, the safety, the food [gun shot noise], the overall culturaly mixing of styles when it comes to art and music.."
His hair is literally the wet dream of any thrash metal fan. Nothing says thrash louder than long, wild curly hair. Fuck yeah! By the way, I'm bald - any bald metal fans out there?
It's Candy Time Boys and Girls I happened to have the exact same type of curly hair that Marty Friedman has 3A and 3B range ish, trust me it looks cool but it’s the biggest pain in the ass to deal with, especially getting it to do what you want it to do. Overall tho, I wouldn’t trade it for anything elee, it looks badass so i’m keeping it. Not like I can straighten because it hurts like a bitch to straighten.
bruh I've got completely straight, no waves whatsoever. Getting a perm next month, I'm a redhead. By the time I'm done I'll basically just be a female version of Mustaine 😭 bald metalheads rock dude, look at Scott Ian, or Kerry King!
@@justforplaylists6375 Yeah, I'm personally trying to achieve Kerry King's look, only with full beard instead of his legendary long goatie. By the way, I've grown four beards since my first comment. The current one is thicker, nearly 19 cm (7 in) in length. Perhaps I'll go crazy and tattoo my bald head or get a piercing, lol.
@@-Vitalis- oh haha, sick! Some wild body mods like you said, tattoos and piercings would look kick ass. Then you just gotta wear those wrap-around sunglasses he does. Or braid your beard if you can go for a viking look 😂
@@peterk.rosenthal1417 I meant guitar in the form of entertainment not for picking up women, i'm sure enough women already know him where he doesn't need a guitar anymore
Marty is right about the music being awesome in Japan. The Japanese have a very wide range of music that they like. Genres like Heavy Metal and Punk Rock are very much a big thing over there. It’s funny too because some of the bands we haven’t heard from or seen in an extremely long time are still very popular in Japan. I had a good friend of mine who went to Japan for work and he was blown away by some of the music clubs and venues. He also said that the have some really amazing finds in record shops that would blow away anyone who’s a collector. It just sucks that it’s so freaking expensive to travel there but I plan on going there for vacation! This was a very cool video and I look forward to seeing more! Cheers!
The art thing about Japan is true. Just last night I was on Discord and this Japanese dude showed me a lot of music from out on their side of the world and it was honestly a life changing experience.
Japan has always been open to rock !!TILL today ?? 80'S rock especially!!! Huge fan base !! Like so many others!(! American music?? ) is all ONESIDED?? (.MAINSTREAM pop) Boring!!! Depressing even!!! No variation in style?? Same producers? Could be why ??? Rock is definitely being repressed from the masses ?? But that's how it started in the first place!! Lol!! ROCK is stronger than ever ?? Loyal fans if it good.music it stands with time???
I kind'a thank God there is no American sugar-laced $hit cereals in Japan, but I miss cheap liverwurst and Braunschweiger, and overdose on it when I visit the US.
If all that is natural, he was gifted with good genetics because most people have to perm their hair to get curls like that. When I had long hair, my hair was wavy but very uneven. I had a clump of hair in the back of my head that was wavier then the rest of my hair, and I had other clumps that were completely straight. I hated it. Later in life I started going bald. Now I shave my head.
@@theicedevil - That's why I like my curly hair and hate when people tell me I should try straightening it; it's natural and I don't have to pay to get it permed.
@@thesmokinggun8674 Lot of gang violence, mass shootings occuring more frequently in American, prison population is very high and crime rates is very high. Japan has one of the lowest crime rates in the world . . . very safe compared to the US.
Agree 100% with Marty... When I visited Japan I must've walked 8 city blocks of Tokyo trying to find breakfast cereal... I was going mad. The closest I got was a Japanese style of rice pudding, which was cooked sweet rice and milk. But the next day, I stayed in the hotel where they had a western-style breakfast buffet.
haha! everybody with curls hates them! i feel your pain brother. but i do get a lot of random compliments on my hair. ps. have you tried a brazillian blow out? i dated a serious hair stylist for a bit and she told me that was probably what i was looking for! ( i even booked an appointment but couldn't make it). yup every single band in japan is phenomenal and absolutely professional. my band, not so much. it was embarrassing just how much they'd show us up when we played. (in my opinion). and they were always so kind and complimenting us too!
I think Marty made Megadeth better, in so many ways, I'm glad he's around and healthy, it's also super cool his musical tastes are so wide ranged, I want to see Wagakki band one day live, so much to choose from in Japan, let's go visit!
