What fine vocal sustain, effortlessly holding out those notes, matched in their finesse by the delicate and artfully smithed emotion of Bill Johnson's steel guitar, masters both, as were all the other members of Mr Robbins' band. Tim.

nooneyouveheardof; what a great name! I suppose you know that's what Marty Robbin's tour bus had on the front of it. Thanks for taking the trouble to post a comment.
sissyfuss, I'm actually on a mission to promote Marty Robbins and make sure he is not forgotten. I hope to continue posting songs that people may not have heard of his or may be unaware of.
Thank you for all you do to promote Marty and keep his name out there, not only so his fans can listen, but so people who have not heard of him can hear that amazing voice. I know Marty would appreciate all you've done very much. I know as a fan and friend of Marty, I certainly do appreciate it very much.
I first heard Carl Smith do this song and loved it...then I heard Martin sing it on his video and it gave me goosebumps and i wanted to cry...still does. WHAT A VOICE...THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL
For a change Marty doesn't start laughing during this and gives a really soulful performance of this old country ballad. Shame he never recorded it. Thanks for your comments jhtenvelde.
