It's just guitars that will either go to a Lawyer, Doctor, or someone that will sit on the investment for 10 years till price goes up and a doctor or lawyer gets it later. Too bad regular musicians are priced out of these markets.

You can buy really nice Les Paul, Strat, Tele, ES, SG, and other style guitars that sound great for much less money. The good news is that many of these guitars are well made. There's no reason to not own a really nice guitar these days.

I'm so tired of those pissy, disgruntled blanket statements. I've been playing since I was a kid and fortunately I've been successful enough to afford the late 50's/early '60's Fenders and Gibsons I've always loved (and I was an art major btw). I love, cherish and play my vintage guitars at least 2 hours every day. I'm just a "regular musician" who worked his ass off to be able to afford the guitars I always wanted. And I also own and love my share of MIM and MIJ Fenders, etc. A great guitar is a great guitar. It doesn't have to be vintage. But finding the right vintage guitar is very special.

@@XLBiker13 a lot millennials have been taught by their globalist teachers that nothing is fair and they’re getting the short end of the stick. They want all hard working people like you to distribute your wealth. No kidding , they want rewards handed to them , but in their minds it’s owed too them.

Well if that's true-- and it probably is-- perhaps it's finally time to let go of the myths of days past, and start supporting and buying guitars from some of the new guard who in many ways produce better guitars at at a fraction of the price. Like Reverend guitars. Or Eastman.

beautiful L-5! the strat is going to sound (remember, we're talking about MUSIC!) pretty much like one right off the shelf. doesn't matter if it was made during the civil war. The L-5 is another story. Old is good because the wood has dried out and they sound better-more resonant.
