Always nice to see a great teacher, get up and play exceptionally well, in a LIVE even pressure-cooker song like Goin' Down. Marty talks the talk and walks the walk. Brilliant, full force solo and I'm only on the first song! Well done, Marty Schwartz!❤

Right? Back in the day I saw a few guys online throw shade at Marty for not being "that good". Even one dude I took a lesson from in person, who wasn't super rude about it, but he had super shredder skills and a whole bunch of "guitar insecurity" and when I told him that Marty's videos helped me go from trash to pretty decent in a short while (back in 2010) said, "That's good, but let me tell you - if me and Marty got together, I'd tear him apart". That ended any future lessons for me, LOL. I don't know if it was jealousy of his success, or ignorance on their part b/c they maybe only saw Marty play stuff geared toward beginner lessons, I don't know, but even back then in 2010 I had seen Marty rip it up live in videos, and I had joined his original website and watched his advanced lessons so I knew he was a legit badass, and he's only gotten better over the years. Marty never claimed to be Steve Vai, but I never saw any of his critics up on stage ripping with legends like Guthrie and Tomo on a Nashville stage, or have a signature Epiphone! Not to mention all that Marty's done for the guitar community at large, he is now a bonafide legend himself, cheers.
