Do you really think Marty is just looking for debris and spills ??? Yes, a $35,000 robot is worth the cost if it prevents injuries or a very expensive lawsuit. I myself have slipped in stores several times. But, Marty is constantly photographing to see what items are out of stock, are running low, if items are in the wrong place and to check if prices on shelves are labeled correctly. At Safeway stores if an item didn't ring up as it was labeled on the shelf, you got it for free. Lots of money lost from incorrectly priced shelf labels or a lawsuit from slipping costs a #hitload more than one Marty robot. And get used to it, robots and self checkouts replace jobs humans should no longer be doing, plus they don't f&ck up or try to f&ck you over. I prefer to use cards, but on more than one occasion I have had a cashier say I gave them a ten when I handed a twenty bill.
