I'm case anyone thinks this is a fluke, Maxpax just went thru an absolute gauntlet of terrans in Kungfu cup today. He went thru Gumiho, Clem AND Cure without dropping a single map. He has been eating his wheaties for sure.

Well played to Maxpax but man I really wish Maru would take like a 3 or 6 month break or something. Dude has earned a break and clearly needs it, this is not the play of someone who is enjoying the game or competition.
I can relate to Marus performance. The better you get in something, the higher the expectations. Too much pressure. I decided to go the other way. Now I am unemployed, lazy, no girlfriend, no obligations and I am still not happy.
It's deeper than that, while playing vs Hero he said on the chat that he does not want to play SC2 anymore. At this point he's doing that like a 9 to 5.
Man that's really sad. Hope Maru could take a long break soon, he need some time to seriously think about the prospect of retiring if the burn out is eating too deep.
this feels like super shortsighted overanalyzing. Maru will be back and these comments will sound stupid in a month. You don't pour your soul into this game and then quit just because you're having a bad week.
Terran pro's need to down tools, which is perhaps what we are seeing from Maru. Every single weapon they have had against the vastly OP Zerg has been nerfed into dust. I like that Protoss are in a better place, but Terran didn't need nerfing, and Zerg needed huge nerfs to it's massive amounts of options. OP spellcasters, vision, early game defense, economy advantage, mobility, etc.
Max is so good. But against someone that sucks so much like Maru that is the most overrated player in the history of the game, it doesn't even feel fair.
Terran sacrifices scvs and still fighting because they get to print money (mules). I tell you, in sc1 if you pull the boys like this and lose your economy, your toast. Sc2 terran is watered down diluted. I'm tired of this game. We need sc3. Terran in sc2 is like being in a boxing match. You get knocked out cold, stiff as a nail, and the ref gives you a 30 count. You get back up and start fighting again. Toss and Zerg get a default 10 second count. But Terran gets a 30 second count.
