This is literally impossible. Maru can at best win a bo3 vs Serral once every 3-4 series they play.

If he couldn’t do it against Oliveira it’s hard to believe he could do it against serral. Unless he solves his choking issues he doesn’t have a chance

He doesn't need that to be the best Sc2 pro player of all times, the fkn goat

He could win, but tbh, he needs his A game. If I think of a player, that can win this, it's Cure and as a big biased Fan Heromarine deserves it.

Dominance? Zerg has no info in that game but still holds a push by just building lots of queens. If that was pvt or tvt, in the first push it will be GG.

That's Maru for you. Short of Serral, he can dominate just about anyone - and even Serral is is not guaranteed victory if Maru gets a bank up, as many casters have noted.

Being behind but clawing your way back to victory is what Maru is known for.

Marus defense looked incredible I don't think it had a just chance to work at all. Starting with the scout of it all with the two helions and from there it was all auto pilot

because terran units are ranged and arent supposed to be clumped up against their opponent by design.

@@user-in7su4ws6kWhat do you mean? Ranged units naturally clump into death balls and you have to manually spread them against AOEs like Banes/Storms/Purification Novas etc.

Fungal growth does a tiny portion of the damage widow mines do. How about we patch the widow mine to do 20 damage like fungal and take away its friendly fire.

​@@M0ebius because the Terran's units shouldnt be close to a WM target, but Zerglings/Banelings have to be close to a fungal target. Also, beyond that, Fungal's damage isnt noteworthy or really important. Its all about the slow. WMs are all about damage.

You mean a World Champion with another final under his belt that has also taken many major titles over the last 4 years in which Maru can't even get out of the group stages is overrated? So, what does that make Maru which doesn't even exist at the national stage?

@@OnigoroshiZero pointless argument tbh. So many variables to consider: health issues, preparation, accommodations, psychological state. Reynor went to play GSL and didn't make past group stage. At the same time Maru had some early losses in big ESL tournament, and sensationally lost to Oliveira in finals. Some humility is good for Reynor though.

He is not quite Maru level when both are on their A game, but i would not say he is overrated. He is extremely good as both Zerg AND Protoss. It's just that he is young and cocky, and likes to run his mouth. 🤣

They should not cost 1 supply. Terrans need them to compete with Chrono and OP Queens. However, i think a MULE limit might not be out of the question (like limit to 10 or something) to make Terrans still require more SCVs in the late game.

Meanwhile Zergs whine that Reynor lost. Lol I like Reynor but in the first game he had no clue about what's happening, didn't scout the 3rd CC, didn't see the factories and if anything he saw a very late first factory and stim research. No clue! He realised what's going on when it literally hit him and well - yeah, queens did just okay.

These Terrans fanboys complain all the time about imba but when it's mentioned that Protoss needs a buff you're not anywhere to be found. Buff protoss > nerfing Zerg complaints from Terrans.

@@Tonius126 protoss dont been a buff the race is so easy and strong that everyone who plays it can play like total dog shit and still win, ill refer you to when terrans were doing 1 base builds vs protoss and it was instantly discovered how to win against it 100% of the time and yet protoss refused to do it even in tournaments, for an entire expansion it was a fucking coin toss whether or not they would play to win or play to lose and that has nothing to do with them needing a buff and everything to do with protoss being so disgustingly easy (like zerg) that its god awful dog shit players literally believe they should be able to do anything they want and still win or they need a buff

@@geuros it isnt that the queens did "ok" the queens stop literally any early damage or pressure from happening with only a handful of units needed to help against the most committed attacks making it a match up of you need to stop them from getting 5 bases but cant because queens beat anything you can do that early and by the time terrans can put an army together zerg has its eco, every upgrade an army and a bank... the fact that most zergs play to lose doesnt mean zerg is balanced, the race spent an entire expansion getting carried by a single unit and people (using the term loosely because they were zerg mains so they are only people by technicality) STILL said they need buffs, because zerg and protoss players are as stupid and bad as wow rogue players like whaaz who in the final season of shadowlands when 90% of teams had 1 or more combat rogues because they were so fucking broken you needed to have one or not even bother playing STILL said rogues needed buffs to be viable in arena...meanwhile warlocks had been out of the arena except for walriks who refused to play anything else and lost 100% of his games and chanimals who only came in as a sub some 25-30% of games and went about 50 50...so warlocks got nerfed 3 times that season

​yes, because if queens couldn't stop early agression zergs would win literaly 0 games. Complaining that queens are good at defense is like complaining that terrans can make walls.
