Welcome to Autophile!
This video describes the DIY installation process for internally adjustable outside rear-view mirror (ORVM) in Maruti Alto LXi. Originally, it has manually adjustable ORVM on driver side only. The passenger side gets no mirror and just a plastic cover trim is attached. The mirror is conventional design and lacks convenience, as we have to roll down window to adjust the mirror. As an upgrade, internally adjustable ORVMs are available as Maruti genuine spare part, which were originally offered in Alto VX, VXi and Alto K10 models. These ORVMs are directly compatible with Alto Type 1 and 2 cars. The upgrade costs approximately 2,400 rupees for both side mirrors. The old mirror removal and new mirror installation is fairly simple and easy DIY. Additional to convenience, the new mirrors provide better view. Overall, this upgrade is high value for money in both aesthetic and functional perspectives.

Hey, I've bought all the required parts except the plastic nut for fixing the inner garnish. None of Mgp authorised sellers got it in stock, nor it's available in boodmo. Local stores have the bigger size nuts which doesn't fit into the bracket. Can you suggest any alternate...

Hi Chaitanya. Thanks for tuning in ✌ Sorry to hear you couldn't get hold of that plastic nut. Not only yellow, there are multiple parts for such type of fastener. Like this one 71851M70F00 bit.ly/41099vU. Try enquiring at MGP store. As an another alternative, one could make use of metal u-type clip nuts (commonly used to mount speakers). You could get this from a local accessory shop or garage. Let me know if you need further help 😀👍

Part No. 99000M99443-001 (power window kit, front). Do verify with MGP dealer once. Feel that both OEM and RD give similar performance. Apparently, OEM kit has issues like weak motor and susceptible to moisture (as per TBHP forum bit.ly/3pmfroB). But I've had no problems whatsoever.

Hi Rohit. Yes it can be folded (in/out) manually, just as every ordinary side mirror. Possibly a new one might be difficult to fold while in hand. Try once after mounting it to the door.

Hi Purujit. A direct ORVM swap is, unfortunately, not possible. The design of mirror attachment plate (triangular shape part) will differ between Alto and Alto K10 (2014).

Yes the new mirror has wider view. The old mirror is flat, giving true view, but big disadvantage is blind spot.

Hi buddy. In wagonr, the wing mirrors are door-mounted (over main panel). So it doesn't get choice of internally adjustable mirrors. As an upgrade, you could install electric powered mirrors, which is more convenient but expensive at approx. 6k.

Hi Mayank😀. Thanks for tuning in👍. Please understand that this ORVM is compatible only with Alto and so can't be installed in 800. However, if desired, you could fit the mirror of Alto or Zen by customizing your door quarter panel so as to "make it compatible" with the mirror attachment plate, by taking help of an experienced mechanic. Okay. So Estilo does not get manual internally adjustable ORVM. You may try this out. The above part no. are from 1st gen catalogue and are really expensive. For 2nd gen, the electric mirrors (84701M65L11-5PK and 84702M65L11-5PK) cost about half approx. 2,200 each, which seems reasonable. Outside shape/color may differ. But most likely, the mounts are common. Buy from Boodmo and compare with current mirror. Install only if compatible. Assured return within 10 days.

Unfortunately, Maruti 800 does not get internally adjustable ORVMs (neither OEM nor aftermarket). However, if you want, a skilled engineer can help you custom install such mirrors in your car, which are originally made for a different model like Alto or Zen. Lekin maine yellow color nut (83119M60B00, ₹2) use kiya hai jo inside door handle mein bhi lagta hai. Alternatively, ek aur option hai 71851M70F00, ₹1 (white color nut). Agar yeh koi bhi Maruti part nahi mile toh ek last idea hai. Go to local accessory shop and ask for metal U-clip (hindi : patthi) which is commonly used for speaker mount. It can be simply fixed on the door panel, by sliding it from the square hole above and then attach the side mirror.

No it is not possible as the attachment plate in ALTO F8 & ALTO K10 type 1 is same but not in ALTO K10 type 2

@Jorly Alternatives for plastic nut : 83119M60B00 (₹2, yellow) and 71851M70F00 (₹1, white). If these are not suitable, you can try another type of nut similar to this 09148M05045 (₹2). Its called metal U-clip used for attaching trim panels.
