Have Alpha Manual. Excellent suspension makes it real fun to drive and can confidently take it around in our narrow roads filled with potholes and especially during rain compared to any other sedan. Its narrow body only adds to its great maneuverability in our roads. However, feel a bit underpowered too. The biggest irritant to me is its Large turning radius due to big wheelbase -probably for off-roading stability- for U-Turns in our roads filled with impatient 2 wheelers lacking basic driving ethics. After running around 2500 Kms, average mileage is 11.8 kpl. Seen around 9 in city rides and 14.1 on highways... Overall its great experience in small package, would definitely recommend as a second car for those with more than 4 family members and for medium off-road thrill seekers. On pricing side I feel its priced 2-3 lakh on higher side ... Overall, no regrets on Jimni purchase by trading off Baleno...
The rear seat alarm in Jimny activates when the seat belt is not fastened, even in the absence of passengers. This feature isn't strictly a security measure. ‼ So, why doesn't the co-driver's seat trigger an alarm when there's no co-driver ❓❓ 🏁The seat belt alarm essentially operates with a weight sensor in the front passenger seat. The alarm activates when the weight sensor detects a weight exceeding a specific threshold and the vehicle attains a particular speed.
Jimny is a lifestyle car. Most of the jimny owners have other cars for city and highway use. Pure off-road car. Its compact size has a clear advantage on narrow off road tracks compared to Thar.
