Got the S Presso.I had ruled out the car for its NCAP Rating.A lot of negative comments are there in RU-vid regarding looks and Safety of the car.But practically this car is just awesome.Driver seating position is one of the best.There is no steering wheel adjustment or seat height adjustment.But just by sliding the seat I got a comfortable driving postion. The AC is best in its segment and will also give competition to car above this segment.Instant Cooling. Back side seating position I am 6ft.Even after adjusting front seat for my height there is ample leg space for me in the back.Headroom is adequate but leg space is just awesome. Infotainment system is working fine and speakers are really good. I had concluded by watching RU-vid that S Presso should be skipped.But in reality this is the most value for money Manual/AMT car from Maruti. I do agree crash test score is 0 but if one has to go for city use and drives with less speed then this is a great buy.NCAP rating is not everything.
Spresso scored 0 star as the base model was tested which does not get pretentioner and passenger airbag. It should have performed better if you test higher models or optional varient.
Your car still looks brand new after two years. My S-Presso will be released next month. I've been waiting for it for almost one month now. That's how hot this car is in the Philippines. Owned manual model vxi+ in Oct 2021, driven 3000 Kms till date. Ride experiences City (Delhi), different Highways (Delhi-Agra, Delhi-Haidwar) and hills (uttarakhand) upto Badrinath, Mana village and Auli. Positves:- Good reliable Car, spacious (upto 04 passengers), decent 2 speaker sound system, Average is Ok, good AC, good boot for daily use (for long rides boot is good upto for 3 persons), better handling and superb ground clearance that helped lot. High engine noise that's what I, dislike the most in this, steering not returns full after turn. Missing basic features:- rear power windows, rear speakers, fog lap placement area, single wiper nozzle, rear wiper and de-fogger, Rear bottle holder, Idol placement problem and rear door pockets.
Steering issue is not an issue its a characteristic of all maruti cars today. The torque converter is not that aggressive. In a way it has some benefits as you do not have to grip the steering hard while turning Rear lacks a lot of features which is disappointing like speaker power windo n bottle pockets. Cabin noise is due to cost cutting can be resolved by adding sound dampening. Rear wipers can't be expected at this price. Even in premium hatchbacks only top varient have that. The one thing im still trying to resolve is how to get fog lamps for this car. They are usefull in hilly areas as they act like cornering lamps due to wide focus.
Very subtly passionate, detailed and beautiful review of the Spresso. It seems to be worth investing in but Maruti has definitely made customers buy a lot of accessories for this car.
Yes i agree this car has the most customisation options available for a budget car. The overall exterior looks of the car are pretty basic at best. With body claddings n some chrome touches it does make the car look peppy. Still worth investing.
I have been rather investing money on the car for two things. Safety and comfort. Asthetics come last. Next big upgrade comes when these low cost mrf tyres give way. Will upsize with grippier tyres for better braking and handling.

My 10 yrs old cng wagon r after 2.2 lakh kms , gives me 28 kmpl with AC on highway , 20 kmpl in city . 4+ kms without AC . Still running like butter . Used to put Castrol edge after every 20000 kms . It is a gem vehicle .

I have a s.presso same as your colour silky silver but top varient vxi+ amt bought on 15th July 2020 , so far driven 44,237km to date that is in approximately 18.50months. The average fuel economy is 23.16km/litre this is by tank to tank filling the range is [21.92km/litre to 26.72km/litre] most of my driving is outstation as well as city and also hills. the speed I use to maintain is between 70-85km/hour above 90km/hour the fuel economy will drop. The negatives I found so far is stiff suspension and at low beam the head light throw is very limitted. Apart from that it's a budget friendly frugal mini suv as Maruthi Suzuki calls. For middle income families a superb car! after completing 50,000km I want to do video clip if time's allow me.
@@knowledgesharing8684 with soft pedal no harsh driving and also 5thgear must fall on 47 to52km/hour velocity then you will get the maximum fuel efficiency I suppose! Do not press the acelerator to hard on stop and go traffic.
@@knowledgesharing8684 avoid sudden acceleration go smooth, plan ahead on the road to avoid use of excessive clutch and brakes. Always maintain tyre pressure and when doing higher speeds close all windows to reduce air drag. Always fill petrol from good quality pumps and periodically get alignment, balancing and service done. Mileage also depends city to city. I drive mostly in Chandigarh and adjoining areas. Less traffic congestion means more mileage.

Any comment on whether you considered something like a Ignis (lower model) which is quite close to S Presso top end model in terms of price ? Its a better car overall isnt it ?
Spresso top model and ignis base models are almost one lakh apart. If you can afford ignis is the better car for sure. Higher cc engine better build quality. Wagon r is a better alternative to spresso though.

@@prasadalathurramamurthy1486 first of all thank you for replying. So , as per you Manual will be better as compared to AGS in terms of maintenance cost and also there is gap of 50k in terms of pricing. I am getting manual VXI+ at 5.5 lac. And VXI+ with AGS at 6 lacs.
Its obd port heads-up display we installed as spresso does not have any tachometer to display engine rpms. Its plug n play no wires cut or any warrenty issue.
No the ac is powerfull and cabin is small so cools very fast. As far as retaining cooling is concerned i dont see what can be done apart from adding sound dampening sheets in doors boot and dash to reduce road noise. But that is costly and adds weight to car.

Interestingly i here found that you mentioned you got alarm system fitted from showroom, can you please give the details about which system you have installed for spresso. Because when i checked with Showroom they said it is not yet built for Spresso.
Maruti alarm systems are made by nippon. And I installed it from showroom. Try a different dealer. There is an available socket below the dash for the same. This alarm system kit comes with four things one alarm module that connects to that socket below dash and its settings are available through the speedo console. One siren speaker that is installed in engine bay. And two switches one is installed on boot door and other on bonnet to prevent unauthorised access. There are wiring sockets left everywhere in the car for it to be installed so its all plug and play no wire cuts or modification whatsoever.
Pls share the Website (link), or Part No. for the Alarm System. The Showrooms here are also denying it cannot be fitted. I also want to install Factory Screen in S-Presso (VXI-O CNG) So I can also install back camera later…

I have not had any issues with police over a year now. No need to update rc. Its not paint just stickering and does not cover the entire car so its ok to wrap.
Sir Iam also looking to install hud obd2 display like yours .. Does it drains car battery after engine off.. I Have read somewhere that this hud display drains battery even after engine off . Pls share your experience as you are already using Pls answer thanks
If you plan to keep the car parked for a month or so then you shd disconnect the obd display but if its being used regularly then no issue. also it depends on the type and quality of display, the one in ciaz does not drain even wen car is parked for months but in spresso it drains in 2 to 3 weeks

Upsizing alloy wheels by that much margin may look pleasing but will create problems of their own for one the speedo error will be substantial as the speedometer is calibrated to that particular rim size. Second is the handling characteristics will be dramatically changed. Could be good or bad. I say stick with company recommended rim size. For me good quality wheel caps is more than sufficient.

@@prahladpai4952 yes these sheets with a little care can easily last years without issue. Also they are small sections of sheet pasted to the roof whichever one gets damaged can easily be replaced for a nominal cost. Washing will not effect it unless you use excessive pressure washing
@@prahladpai4952 sure. But a word of advise get a good quality stickering shop who use 3m or any good quality sheets for the job or else the weathering will easily damage the sheets in a few months and the car will start looking shabby or worse leave glue residual marks on the car paint.
Hi Sir main 1st time car lene ka plan kar raha hoon aur maine s presso ke vxi plus ko final bhi kar liya tha meri height 5 feet 11 inch hai to jab apne legs ko adjust karne ko dekh raha tha to mujhe long drive me problem hoga laga isliye abhi final nahi kiya hoon. Aapne bataya aapki bhi height 6 ft hai to aap mujhe please suggest kariye ki main ye car chala sakta hoon comfortably ya nahi.Mujhe car chalane ka jyada experience nahi hai isliye bhi samajh me nahi aa raha hai ki comfort hoga ki nahi baki mujhe Jo kuch bhi chahiye isme mil raha hai.
Car is comfortable for tall people because of the boxy shape and upright position of seat. You wont have issues with it. Steering position is a bit low but not a deal breaker . I say go for it. Even with seat postion all the way back rear leg room is still acceptable for passengers.

Yes as per many spresso owners who wanted to have rear speakers they found the wire already installed inside the rear passenger doors. All u need to do is cutout the door trims and add speakers
@@sameerlokhande8244 I have not installed rear speakers for now. Have planned though in future upgrades. You need to visit local automotive shops for this work as it needs some precision and expertise.
I bought the car very first month when ut was launched. The adaptor which integrates rear camera with infotainment was not available at that time so i had to get a seperate display with rear view mirror installed which costed me the same 10000inr. Today you can get the standard nippon brand oem camera for 4000and get it connected to infotainment.

Depends on the condition of the car. If its well maintained and periodically serviced then 3llakhs should be ok. Better find vxi optional for additional passenger airbag and front seat belt pretentioners.
@@bumblebee8678 hello. Its basically plug n play device. Every car below the steering there is an obd port were svc center connect their computers to check for error codes or other car parameters. You just jave to take the obd wire and connect device to that port.
Alto me jagah kam hai. Spresso ka engine bada hai to thoda pahado me acha chalegi. Dikki me jagah bhi zada hai luggage rakhne ke liye. Aap roof carrier lagwa lo aur cng varient le lo spresso ka.
we drove 16 hours straight without issues. being comfortable on a long trip is subjective and varies from person to person. For some a luxury sedan might not be enough for long road trip. For us it was fine. This is a small hatchback with narrow seats so large person might feel a bit like me but Im ok with it even after drviving ciaz which has great seats.
