Eh her being sad and goth does fit her original comics portrayal a lot though "Real" Rogue as in the version of a specific time period of early 1990s is what you think of....
Funny thing about the original X-Men movies. They were supposed to be focused on Rouge then the second movie on, they just forgot about her and focused more on Wolverine and she never got her full powers.
@@alexanderplatypus3664 Rogue dos quadrinhos, nunca foi triste e gótica. Muito menos nos anos 90. E, não, ser triste e gótica não se encaixa no retrato "original" da personagem. Rogue original é atrevida, impetuosa e flertadora.
Remember folks, this is the same gal who took out The Avengers in her comic debut Rogue is a character that is 💯 capable of being a major threat to the world on her own if pushed to that point
Eh, it’s going to be difficult to write Rogue as powerful without Rogue absorbing Ms Marvel’s powers, and considering Fox at the time didn’t have Ms Marvel, they did the best they could.
@@loco_logic Yeah, but from who? Fox didn’t just have no access to Ms Marvel, but a whole bunch of Marvel characters. No access to Thor, Captain America, or Spider Man. Who do you pull powers from that has super strength, flight, and near invulnerability that you do have the rights to?
@Exl6243 A made up mutant named Laurel Sanders. It's not like a recent superhero show did the exact same thing with their Agent Spider. Simple solutions, don't have to get complicated.
@@fictionverse7292 YES. Why SHOULDN'T they? That's universal law ---- you reap what you sow. I was not thrilled about Deadpool telling Logan he was not only an X-Man, he was THE X-Man. Part of the success of both TAS and ‘97 is that it gives every TEAM member their due. So many characters were underused or misused in the movies: Storm, Cyclops, Rogue, Beast, Jean Gray…gambit never made the movies unless you could t Wolverine: Origins. The actor was not bad but the way Gambit was written was.. Look at how hot he has become since Episode 5? Let’s not even talk about the way MYSTIQUE is depicted. It makes me think any future X-Men movies will be more Wolverine & the X-Men. They have learned NOTHING from the success of ‘9$ or the hold TAS has had on so many people.
MvC4 when Also note the one soldier yelling “kill the mutant” which is both just an extra spritz of fuel on the bonfire but also hilariously aspirational on that guy’s part.
@@OldWestGunslinger-vs9mx the governments are already refusing to help, the governments were already building secret sentinel operations, were already transferring Gyrich and Trask. Were already planning OZT. WAKE UP. Sinister might have pulled the trigger but he just found the gun loaded sitting in a desk ready to be used.
Meh...still Storm for me...always has been...will always be!...Rogue is close 2nd though!...I love how she basically has the ability to kill a person by sucking lifeforce of them turning the victim into withered corpse by a mere touch...haha kinda overpowered but hey...someone has to matchup well in all of those marvel vs. dc fights right?...
She was always my favorite even before she joined the x-men! I read that Avengers issue , then had a dream Rogue was going to be a hero, next thing I knew she became an x-men, then I had a divine premonition she would get very popular, even gain endless potential. That all happened in 1981, look what's happening so far! My premoniton must've been shared by somebody at Marvel because everything is finally catching up!
Love how that hair flip and smirk she gives when she lands is saying, "y'all can run now while you have the chance." Can't wait to see this character development in the coming episodes after what happened in Genosha.
Which part of this clip did you see this ability presented accurately? Also, pretty sure the only powers that she permanently absorbed from Ms Marvel are flight, near-invulnerability and super-strength.
@@FinalStigma In the comics, Rogue did absorb seventh sense from Ms. Marvel, the future Captain Marvel. It's possible that X-Men '97 will follow the comics in this regard.
@@FinalStigmaafter she does the Capcom kick into the robot, she instinctively dodges a laser beam without looking. I'm assuming that's what the op was referencing .
Omfg I’m LITERALLY IN TEARS from the tense excitement for this nights episode!!! ROUGE IS MY TOP GIRLS w Storm. Plz midnight happen asap - like a 90’s kid waiting for 10am Saturday mornings 😮🤩🤩
Here are my top fav x-men girls ten is the least, one is the most 10. Marrow 9. Syren 8. Pixie 7.Mystique 6.Wolfsbane, 5.Kitty Pride,4.Rachael Summers, 3.Storm,2.Psyhlocke 1. Rogue!
Now I want to see how the other X-Men react when they find out about Gambit’s death. I don’t think they knew in episode 5. We know how Rogue felt and grieved. What about the rest of the team?
I'm sure this isn't about rougue since I read the synopsis for the episode and it mentions the x men finding answers or sm like that so I think the x men are going to split up or sm like that to go to human places to find trask or secret military places where they can find answers about genosha, if anything I'm sure this episode is going to be about the whole x men grieving then (hope I'm not right about the potential ending) the x men find out that it wasn't the humans who sent the sentinels to genosha and they work together or whatever to get to the bottom of it which is when the last 3 part episodes is about
This is how Rogue needs to be portrayed in the MCU. They really need to do a movie with her origin story where she permanently gets some of Captain Marvel's powers.
@@arc7375 It could honestly make a great movie if done right. I'd even settle for a Disney+ series as long as she's portrayed properly and gets her proper powers.
Okay just from this scene alone I can already tell of 2 things, 1 being she want to get answers either from Bolivar Trask or Henry Gyrich on the attack on Genosha or 2 wanting to get revenge at them for Gambit & Magneto. Either way this latest episode is gonna be lit.
I think people forget that in most universes Rogue literally has captain marvels powers (ms marvel in the 90s) due to her absorbing her powers for a little bit too long. This version is one of the strongest mutants on the planet, she just holds back.
She’s probably grieving over the loss of Gambit and Magneto. Boy if she finds Sinister and discovers the he’s the one behind all this, she will be out for blood. Considering how much of a living hell her life has been due to her powers having the ability to take someone’s life force as well as their skills/powers, I could see Rogue finally snapping and is now fueled by just anger.
