I wish I were the type of person who could just buy a few things for this game! Another tip: hero packs and scenario packs make excellent gifts, so put them on your wishlists. If you were to tell someone “oh I want this obscure euro game for Christmas,” they’ll think “hmmm…… that sounds boring.” But someone will absolutely buy Black Widow, Wolverine, or the Green Goblin for you.

Haha! I’m trying to beat Ultron (expert). This has to be top 5 hardest villains in expert mode. The minions don’t stop and the attachments pulled on encounter draws are so nasty! I’m new-ish to MC. I’ve crushed him in standard, but his jump to expert is literally and figuratively next level.

Just went to a con and played some marvel champions with strangers and it made me so much more excited to jump back into the game. It’s kind of been sitting on my shelf for a few months. But just found your channel & this video it made me instantly subscribe gonna go watch some of your other content!

Hey! I own everything already, but I still listened to the whole video, just to hear someone talk about my favorite game 😂 Well, technically Mojo/Wolverine/Storm are in a package heading my way, but by Monday my collection will be complete again. I mostly play 2 player games with a friend who’s equally into the game. And we play everything on normal (with campaign rules if there are any) and then we play it on expert (without campaign rules). Then we monkey around with modular decks for variety. And I used to play solo to test decks, and I’ve just started doing that again as X-Men got me back on the MC hype train! 💪🥳 Looking forward to all your future MC videos! 👏😁

I wish I would’ve had something like this when I first started out. I bought the core set and Thor first, then Black Widow, and then everything up to Galaxies Most Wanted at the same time. Whoops. 😅 Great video as always.

As someone who joined the Covenant subscription and own everything, the real test is how you plan to store it all 😂I love this game and there are a lot of heroes I haven’t even played yet. But how I stored everything, I can just grab a hero with pre-built deck and get the villain out and then go. My set up time is less than five minutes if I use a pre built deck. I love that about this game.

Great video. I already own some stuff from this game, but not everything. I focused mainly on expansions (GMW skipped) and some heroes I like, plus Green Goblin pack. I always try to complete the expansions with the heroes presented in the box which is sometimes quite hard. In the Mad Titan's Shadow I struggled to defeat the bosses like Thanos. So I just grabbed my combo Captain America + Dr Strange and had some fun🙂I also have to mention that on the other hand the Hela scenario was really enjoyable, maybe one of the best. One more note : Here in Czech Republic I noticed that some shops recently presented Marvel Champion Bundles - there are 5 different versions. It looks like this : Core or one of the expansions + few heroes packs or sometimes scenario packs. In the description it is written that these bundles are presented by the FFG, but I did not find any clues about that on their web site. For instance the bundle 1 contains : Core set + Green Goblin and Wrecking Crew + these heroes : Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Thor, Black Widow, Dr Strange and Hulk

Easy answer: Start with coreset and your favorite heroes THEN that same night order all the campaign boxes and scenario packs (except Galaxies Most Wanted and Wrecking Crew)...then grab a few scenarios that have "must have cards" based on your heroes and now you've followed the path of many short of completionists lol

Hey Nelson! Just wanted to say thanks for all your content. Recently got into boardgaming, and your channel started popping up on my feed. My brother in law let me borrow his core set last week and now I want to immediately go out and buy my own and some expansions😂. Wondering, do you still find this order is accurate here in 2023? I'm thinking Core Set, Rise of Red Skull, then some X-Men heroes just cause they're my favourite. Thanks again for the great videos man!

I bought the Core Set and Star Lord (for me) and Gamora (for my wife) cause they are awesome. And recently as second purchase we got Sinister Motives cause the Spideys are incredible - and Sinister Six are just iconic. We already beat Rhino; Klaw and Ultron in Multiplayer (Standard) so let's hope Sinister Six won't give us to much trouble😅

Also something a bit unusual I did: I found a google drive with full hero sets, modules etc. and I got myself Daredevils Hero Pack (my favourite Hero); Morbius Hero Pack (cause it looks fun and brutal) and the Chameleons Module (because Spidey themed villain) - I'm stoked to try them out😅

Speaking of… What are your thoughts on Green Goblin’s scenario pack!? I’m a fan of the Spider-Verse, but I don’t necessarily let my fandom intrude on actual quality when it’s in other forms of entertainment. I recently added Sinister Motives, so Miles and Gwen are in full swing! I found the GG scenario pack for $2

I saw some hero collection packs specifically hero collection packs 1 and 2. What are those? Are they newer? It's difficult to find information about those packs. They're not even in FFG website.

Do I need a core set box to play the hero pack?

I am going to say yes and then contradict myself. The core set provides the "Standard" set which is included in every single game you play, this is a set of 7 cards that always get shuffled into the encounter deck. Now the contradiction: You can technically get the "Standard 2" set from The Hood scenario pack and use those in place of the standard cards. Warning though: these are much much harder and would make a lot of scenarios extremely difficult to impossible without some of the staple cards that come in the core set. That being said, even without the needed Standard cards I would highly recommend the core set, it is the most bang for your buck as it has 5 heroes, 3 villains, many mod sets and comes with a lot of cards that you will use in decks even if you had the full card pool. The heroes are not as complex as some of the others, but are still very fun and powerful. Hope this helps!
