A rumble which we haven’t seen ever since the team tournament started one season prior. But soon, the cards will be stacked in place, all the slots will be booked, and soon we will determine just which of these competitors will be the last man standing and be crowned the champions rumble winner. For up till now, it’s been trying to see if teammates can work together which doesn’t always happen as effectively as we hoped for but the ones who do were able to carry their teammates on to victory. And in one such case, a certain ‘champion’ from two seasons ago was responsible for securing the last few slots for himself and his teammates. Superman, the ‘Man of Steel’ and ‘Son of Krypton’, made his return upon this very rumble to propel the DC Superhero team into the Champions rumble. Ever since Superman won the Champions rumble back in Season 4, it had been a lengthy period since we saw the man in action. When he didn’t defend his title since there was a team tournament going on, we were left wondering if he would actually be able to defend his title or not. Personally, I half expected him to fill at least ‘one’ available spot in the finals of this season regardless of which other team won this match. But as it appeared, Superman wanted to demonstrate that he ‘earned’ his spot rather than having it handed to him on a platter. Of course, he won’t be going in alone and at least four other members from DC will be featured in this match. Which begs two questions: Will Superman retain his championship title status? Or will one of his DC teammates end up turning on him to get it? And another thing… who was ‘my’ MVP of this rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the thirty men featured in this match, eighteen competitors secured the most eliminations. The highest count of the night reached ‘5’ eliminations, which is four points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. I’ll give the Golden MVP Award to… The reigning Ricky J Rumbles Champion and winner of this match… Superman!!! Upon his return to ringside, Superman sent a clear message that he was a fighting champion to the end. Lasting a decent time in the match, securing the most eliminations, for these following reasons there’s no arguing who else was more deserving of this prestigious honor. The 29 other finalists had better watch out. Superman has been part of this series since Day One, and if anyone knows how to get the job done… it’s the Man of Steel. The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance goes to… The Boy Wonder… ‘Robin’. Based on the outfit, I’m to assume that this particular Robin is the ‘Tim Drake’ version, since in the Arkham games (And this Gotham Knights game that just came out) to my understanding this Robin was the only one with a hoodie over his head. But either way, this match was not just a chance for Robin to secure a win for D.C. but essentially becoming a ‘man’. The good news is… a D.C. superhero won the match to ensure Robin gets a place in the finals. However… based on Robin’s overall performance, even against his own partner and mentor Batman, I’m not feeling too confident on his chances of becoming a ‘champion’ in the champions rumble. But if he really wants to prove that getting into the finals was no fluke, he must ‘learn’ from this experience if he wants to have a much stronger performance in the finale. But for now, the card has been set. Thirty combatants out of six teams will be set to compete for a shot at either becoming the ‘new’ champions rumble winner… or if the current champion can secure his second win (A feat only Thanos has been able to replicate). And all that and more just leaves one more question: Who do YOU think will be this season’s Champions rumble winner?

I was definitely a Mortal Kombat guy. Even got the logo tattooed on one of my arms. So Sub-Zero and Batman starting off is a double reference to MKvsDC Universe and Injustice 2.

Hey Ricky, Universe mode teams work together til the end as long as you make them allies. Took me just 10 minutes to set up all the allies. It’s annoying that it’s only in universe mode but it works perfectly!

I also enjoy hearing your personal stories from your childhood, to compare to my own. Could do a few ideas from the past like the multiple gimmicks. So 1 team could be mankind, dude love, cactus jack. Another Hulk Hogan, Hollywood Hogan, Mr America. Get it for actors as well. Like Arnie as the terminator, Conan and Mr freeze or or sly as rocky, Rambo and judge dredd. Theres tons as long as someone has created the characters

Great rumble. I wasn't going for DC. Im a Marvel fan. Didn't happen, oh well? I loved both Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Im nostalgic as well 51. Bringing old stories is always great! So when Street Fighter first came out, I mastered Zangieff, for awhile nobody couldn't beat me. As for Mortal Kombat, it started with Sonya, when other characters came out, then i mastered Kung Lao, loved him won many matches! Rafael is also my favorite turtle.

I preferred Street Fighter. I thought the drawn sprites looked better than the digitized sprites, and all the MK character's standard attacks are identical. The only real draw of MK to me was the blood and the Fatalities.
