Surprised to see so many negative comments about this series. I didn't know they existed until now and absolutely love this concept. This is exactly the way i want to see a collection presented. I just wish they had started at 1939 and went in order. Just got the 1961 edition on Ebay for less than $50 with shipping and can't wait to see it.

It's not surprising that some people might have a negative reaction to this, especially when considering the other omnis that they could be printing. Personally, I don't care either way, but it's interesting that they keep printing these titles as they always seem to be on clearance/sale.

I have the first 3 and actually like them! It just became a time capsule in comic format. Had no idea this started in 1939. I would like some golden age stuff

Well, this is an extreme must-have for myself. Not only was I born in February 1964, but DD's origin story was one I would read and re-read time and again. Interesting that it was Stan Lee's fave as well. I unfortunately missed the pre-order cut-off date, but hope to get the DM variant. And, thanks so much for this overview ! Very much appreciated 😊

I know it's been kind of a joke, but a collection of Raw Hide and Millie the Model look amazing!

These are cool but I have a budget and they don't make the cut, would love a two gun kid omnibus

Oh, and I believe my little sister had those comics with the paper doll cutouts. They were at the same grandmother's who bought me my first comics, two from the Aparo Spectre run.

I like these books because they’re a nice snapshot of comic book history. It’d be nice if there were more historical articles in them, but the never reprinted issues are great. I got the first two books for a really good discount and I’m glad I picked them up! 👍🏼

Nice to see more rare marvel comics getting cleaned up and printed. Millie and patsy were marvels most popular female comics, so they really do need a trade or something. Patsy who becomes hellcat later can kinda count as marvels longest running female hero book with over 200 issues and multiple books and spin-offs. Most never been reprinted. Really enjoy these time capsule books like this and marvel first trades as they give us a taste of that year if your buying comics than. Hope they do 1984 and 1985 books in the future. Non owned ip books they can't print can get a single cover as a rep.

The western comics are really cool and wish they made Omnis out them alone!

I have not read the introduction, but the story around the Marvel offices was that Martin Goodman found out the Golden Age Daredevil had fallen into public domain, and he wanted Stan to just pick up the original character. Stan didn't think they could get away with it (never mind they did so with Ghost Rider years later), and he changed it from Daredevil being mute to being blind.

Hey Omar, did your 1963 Omnibus review get taken down? I can't find it anymore.

Imagine if we could map books like this ourselves? Pick our favourites from the Silver Age and combine them onto one awesome Omnibus, printed by Marvel and sent to our homes? 🙂 As unfortunately DD #1 is by far the best comic in this book, so many bad stories here, that just don't hold up very well. (I haven't read the Patsy and Millie stories, but the others)

Kid Colt on the opening pages :-) ... Not been collecting these, but I do really the idea of them. Like a fair few other folk though, I do wish we'd get some Millie, Patsy and Marvel Western collections in one format or another. Don't understand the negative feedback from some either, this is a nice idea on how to collect some historical months from the early days of the MU, especially with the non-collected material.

On the face of it, this series of books seems to be a way of further reprinting a lot of material that is already available in old reprint comics, facsimile editions, Essential collections, Epic Collections, Mighty Marvel Masterworks, Marvel Masterworks and, of course, Omnibuses. And it does just that! On the other hand, from a historical perspective, it is a dream project! A way to fulfil the fantasy of "What would it have been like to buy every single Marvel comic which came out in a given month in the 1960s?" From that point of view, books like this are the next best thing to having a time machine. One could almost wish that they would do this for every month of the decade! And, of course, no one is being forced to buy them if they don't want them!

I really enjoy these books and I hope Marvel continues at least till 1968. It was the year Marvel expanded their line since the company was no longer limited to a number of books because of its distributor which was owned by the parent company of DC! I would also like to see The Rawhide Kid continue its Marvel Masterworks line (two volumes have been released) and some collections for Millie the Model and Patsy Walker.

Hello, I love watching your videos, but I don't know English very well. Can you add Turkish subtitles to your videos? ❤❤😅

Not exactly the same thing, but you can take the transcript that I guess is auto generated by RU-vid and then run it through Google translate or similar. Then read it by it's own or side by side with the video.

I'm sorry Marvel, but these books are stupid and pointless. So many better things they could be printing.
