Any bets on who dies in this event? Because someone dies in every event. My guess? It will be Miles Morales. I think he’ll use that change your mind token the Maker gave him as a way to get in with the Maker and then blow up his operation from the inside. He’ll end up saving the 616 universe, but lose his life in the process. Hickman usually brings things from all the way in the beginning back to the end of the story.

small correction on the Miles part: Miles doesn’t feel like going back to the Ultimate Universe, because yes, he’s settled into 616. But he doesnt remember the death of his mother or the abandonment or hardened past of his father or the death of his uncle it’s not that he’s not willing to go back because “there’s nothing to go back to”, he’s not willing to go back because he’s already settled into 616

Because a lot of fans, myself included, think he's a dull, uninteresting character. He has 2 or 3 traits in lieu of a personality: he's really powerful, and he's generally mute. (And he's a king. Or dictator. )I liked him best in Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee's run of Inhumans, but yeah, I think a lot of Marvel fans would rank him pretty low on their lists of favorite characters.( The Illuminati should replace Black Bolt with Doom.)

I wish Hickman had stuck with what Donny Cates had established. I think The Maker being tasked to rebuild the ultimate universe by the council of reeds was a really cool goal for the character. I figured ultimate invasion would've built on that by The Maker invading and stealing the resources from the 616 universe. But i guess not. its whatever, ill read whatever hickman writes.

I kinda don't like the "Stopping Ultimate Peter from becoming Spiderman" thing. I mean his story was by far the best one out of the entire Ultimate Universe and the way it ended with him being resurrected left a rather sour taste in my mouth, especially after the whole "Death of Spiderman" story which was amazing. So I was hoping they'd give him a second chance to sort of, idk, have more cool stories to make up for the bizarre immortality powers him and Norman got. But maybe it's just to early to say. (Btw wasn't Marry Jane Peter's only friend before he became "cool" later donw the line)

I’ve been out of comics for half a decade now. Hickman’s pulling me back in with this story and what he’s doing with the X-Men. I hope this story ends with the resetting of the 1610 universe… preferably before Ultimates 3 and Ultimatum lol. Even though that train wreck did give us Ultimate Comics: The Ultimates. Which is a great story for any reader wanting to learn more on The Maker.

You're telling me Reed Richards, Post-Secret War 2015, who chose to lock the Maker up and not outright eliminate him didn't have any kind of safeguards in terms of the bioscan security systems? The guy who rebuilt the multiverse with his son, knows how dangerous the Maker is, couldn't think of something as simple as a retinal scan that requires two working eyes? I love Hickman but this feels like an example of "we gotta dumb down the characters so this thing can even happen" type of stuff.

The Maker did walk inside the Portal (a Non-Mutant walking in Krakoa's Portal) That's a thing that happened 2 times every week now 😂 The Maker moved/stole the Portal which is considered... I mean was considered unmovable For the Symbiote Didn't it last appearance was when The Maker traveled to that Universe conquered by Knull? And as The Maker doesn't show the Symbiote I guess he also lost it there (Off-Screen)

Miles Morales from main universe (who DON'T have Spider-man powers) was in the Ultimate universe for awhile. It could be that the stuff with Ultimate Reed with Venom happened in those 2 months aka after he escaped, while he busy gathering the things. IF Hickman ignores the return of Ultimate universe, meaning he ignores Spider-men II and the Ultimates story with Blue Marvel and such as well. The Maker is half right. Not that long ago Marvel fully rebooted 2099 line as well.

(6:42 Donny Cates Maker in Venom and the Hickmans Maker here exist at the same time) There are as many Makers as there are new Universes post Secret Wars, since MM thought it would be funny to leave a slice of him in every single Universe, not knowing they could reform and operate as individuals. So yeah, a council of Makers is very possible. Re-read back issues and it actually all makes sense but it pulls from some deep Al Ewing plotlines. The Maker's 1610 body has been in S.H.I.E.L.D (or post Shield) storage since Sunspot captured him and handed him over in New Avengers Vol 4. #17. THEN, in Ultimates 2 #9, also by Ewing, The Maker is back and working with The High Evolutionary, and very offhandedly says that he imported his body from another universe. So that FIRST body's been in S.H.I.E.L.D storage for way longer than 2 months (who knows given how comic book time works) I guess he can move his mind across universes since the Molecule Man cut him into "slices" at the end of Secret Wars - but also, he needed his 1610 body for some specific reason, to be revealed. Which, god damn, never doubt Jonathan Hickman's commitment to continuity.

I think miles will eventually return to the ultimate universe where he will be the one and only Spider-Man, I think this is the best opportunity for them to fix miles in the comics

Spider-Man not being in the ultimate universe is a huge deal for me. The ultimate universe, for me, is him. Like ultimate Spider-Man is my favourite iteration of the hero thanks to the ultimate Spider-Man comic and game. I just love it. But damn, this sucks
