Thnx for the breakdown, bro! Hah, my problem was that the shoulder just would NOT dislodge from the butterfly, so I shivved the butterfly out and just cut the pegs where they lay. Hahah, I'm jealous of y'all's hand strength, but I got it done, finally! Gotta try RYV Spidey next! 😅
Much appreciated, sir! It's helpful to have tutorial vids like this , a lot of customizers talk about techniques like they're common knowledge in posts, but isn't to first timers
Thanks for the video. I've already fixed my Carnage and Symbiote Spidey with it. I've also done it with AF Spidey, but only one shoulder poped out. I guess I'll try it later cause my fingers are destroyed 💀
Gotta to say I did this mod, works beautifully but unfortunately made my black panther so loose! He was just the right kind of tight but it's all good now he moves like a dream just a bit loose. Spidey works like pure gold. But just a heads up for anyone going to do this. Be careful. Lol. And thank you man made these figures way better!
Thanks for the instructions! I got a little difficulties popping out the arms but in the end I was able to do it. I hope you can share other easy tutorials for other figs!
Dude that was awesome! That helped me very much and immediately did your mod and made it smooth and full range I’m impressed and stoked. Subscribed to your channel immediately after lol😂
oh wow! thanks so much for sharing this. Will do it to my BP when I get him. No downsides on this? Like the arm falling easier when posing or whatever? Super dope! Can't understand why it's not out of the factory like this 😅. Guessing we can test it with other figures, if we pop their arms and the pegs are super long
I haven't noticed any downside to it. And yeah I can think of a few figures with super long legs like this: gamerverse Miles, AF Spider-man, black series comic Darth Maul, and black series Mando Ahsoka
I'm definitely going to do this when I get my Black Panther, and also the Retro Spider-Man. Since I already have the Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man, I'm going to preform the surgery.
This makes me wonder why the arms are pegged into the torso at all when this is clearly the much better option. Did Hasbro think this would make the arms more stable or something? Very useful vid, btw! If I end up getting this figure, I may do this. That is if the regular butterfly joint ends up bugging me. lol
Can not wait for my one to come in, it finally looks like a good build for T’chala instead of the weird, short, overused Bucky cap mould, definitely doing this mod and adding the necklace from the movie black panther to it to add some pizazz
Great tutorial. I'm just concerned if I do this his arms will become very loose. I heard some people say the butterfly joint became very loose after this mod. For others it didn't.
I've done this mod like 10 times and it hasn't loosened I me, some people have reported that but it's not something I've experienced. Might have something to do with how much you clip off
The hot water makes the soft plastic more pliable so you can pop the joint out and back in, but once the plastic cools it goes back to it's normal rigidity. It's an age old practice that customizers have been using for decades. Only thing to be afraid of is user error, not the method.
Can you teach me please how to crack a figure and how painted? Cuz I have tried to paint a figure of mine. With model colors if you heard of them and comes off like a gum. It's really ridiculous 😒
