ya it really is. once you start getting new tools, your ideas and abilities do expand alot. Especially with a dremel. Not only cracking open figures but also easier to sand down etc etc. make minor adjustments if something is too big etc.
yup I did, sorry didnt show that in the video b/c I just wanted to get the swapping parts in. I use Citadel paint. Tamiya is also very good, I use that sometimes as well.
hey wylun. I just popped the Bucky cap leg from comic strange ,and popped blades leg's out from the hips. and I think it's awesome for a very quick fix.
thanks man! i'm glad you enjoyed it. ya i really like this figure alot more now. I also added the jacket from punisher to him so he looks alot cooler also. (slit a whole in the back to stick his sword in too)
Hi, mine is actually from a very old kit, I dont think they make it anymore, but they of course have new ones. Just go to Amazon and type in Dremel Kit, you can find them easily. (the brand is Dremel)
Have you ever tried to swap an upper torso to go with a lower torso you like. I ask because i like the upper torso of the new Blade but i wanna keep the Lower torso of the scourge figure when i swap
ohyes, no problem ill try to make a video review of him of what I added on. IF not , he will def. be in the next up coming size comparisons with other figures.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this already but it's possible your Blade hip joints were placed in the wrong side L/R , R/L. I bought 2 of this figure and they both could get the hips and thighs aligned.
Thankyou so very much, i did not know the "anatomy" of the toy, and how to change torsos, now i know better and will take on future projects. I subscribed, i apreciate your effort and knowledge.
prob not, to be honest, I kind of like the look of how that black panther head looks on that body, alittle bit of silver and white to really complement the look. it looks very .. different but i dont mind it lol
you could leave the holes in the sides for halo mcfarlane style peg weapon mounts. also the hole in the bottom of the crotch could be used for gundam type display stands.
thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Check my tutorial playlist, I have alot of videos of basic things like body swaps and painting jobs that you can maybe take some tips from.
ya i dont see a reason not.. as long as you smooth it out and it dries hard. why not? lol then paint it after. the hole will be small enough anyway, no one will know if its apoxie
hm.. I have done the opposite lol. I've put DC Universe Classics/superheroes upper bodies on ML lower legs. I havent dabbled into the newer DC figures yet though.
hm.. i'd have to see the insides to really know.. but i guess try it yourself and if you need to crack open the upper bodies to get the pegs out.. then it must be done.
no problem! ya its possible to still do it with the punisher legs, you just have to work alittle bit more and crack open the body of blade. For the sake of the video to keep it short (and i'm lazy as F) I decided not to. sometimes the easier route is the best.
How much more work would it be to take a crotch piece that fits but then to pop off the legs at the hips and switch the legs that way. Is it just a simple boiling water pop-n-switch or more involved?
hm.. well i did change the crotch piece to fit, if you want to change the legs also, its fairly easy, if you watch the video you can just swap out the legs from the crotch too. if you just want too. but most likely you will always have to take apart the crotch area first.
Sad hasbro quality so bad now that leg and butt issue made me pissed... I gave him away just sad so many dont do customs and get bad design flaw. This is to common with them now.
