Marvel Legends DEADPOOL Retro Carded 80th Anniversary Action Figure Review 

It’s awesome hearing about the ruler though… That’s part of the Anthony’s customs nostalgia… Like the random cat guest appearances.

Like a couple others have said, Deadpool was originally red and grey/blue-ish, not red and black like he is now. So this is more reminiscent of his earlier X-Force/New Mutant appearances.

Love mine. I wish hasbro would give us a retro carded Daredevil, in THAT shade of red.

the color is probably inaccurate but for me aesthetically this shade of blue looks really great

With the floating belt being attached to the shoulder straps. I always wondered why not peg it into the shoulders? then it'll look better, be held in place and when you lean the figure back or forwards the belt would just move up slightly. Even if they wanted it to be removable they could just put the peg on the back

I have this figure and it's my favorite Deadpool figure from legends

Just picked this one up myself, haven't opened him up yet, but I can say my paint apps came out cleaner than the one shown (buckles are nice and crisp and in the lines) I can see a small smudge of the metallic blue on a red area of the chest, but the straps almost cover it up. I've been looking for a good classic comic DP for a while and this guy is it!

Honestly the best Deadpool to date, definitely should be the new standard for weapons paint. I have one carded and bout to get another to open up. My top 5 ML of 2019.

This is exactly how the Deadpool figure looked back in 1940 on the original 80 year old release

I remember that kind of metallic blue color from Joe Kelly's Deadpool, prob one of the reference they used for this.

I wish his shoulders were just the tiniest bit wider, but yeah, this is definitely the best Deadpool figure Hasbro has done. Glad I picked him up a couple months back.

Solid review. Looks great but I can't justify getting after I have the original 'Sasquatch wave' release, but damn I love that paint. Never had their butterfly joints loosen, btw.

I prefer the colors on the Sasquatch wave. Only downside is that figure doesn't come with any guns. But if you're a Marvel Legends collector like most of us, you probably have some spare guns to give him.

Since this figure is a repaint of last years sasquatch build a figure wave deadpool I'm suprised you like the mold more now. What changed your mind?

The ruler comment was interesting to me. Specially since you're the only action figure reviewer that I follow that mentions the size in metric too, that helps a lot. I usually do rough estimates while watching other reviewers, but I only get the precise height when I watch yours. I also own stuff from when I was little, like scissors with my name engraved on it. That honest and critical reviews, even if sometimes they're much harsher than others' opinions, is what draws me(us?) to your content. This type of comment and your charisma and humor is what keeps me (us?) around, it lightens the mood and humanizes you. Otherwise it would just be someone being very strict on his toy reviews (Kinda Simon or Gordon Ramsey-like). Keep it up!

I'm very glad we got this type of action figures as much as I love the Marvel Now costume of Deadpool we never got any old school Deadpool attires for a action figure.

Heh, I also got two, to leave one in the package. And this is still the Deadpool I got riding piggyback on Colossus on the shelf.

I have to recommend everyone to put the sasquatch x-force deadpool belts and harness on the back n black deadpool. Makes the figure so much better.

I do acba so I'm always working with and posing my collection, I do take great care of all of them but have noticed a few figs get loose butterfly joints, the weapon x wolvie, ps4 spiderman, ironfist, silver surfer, it's such a great articulated idea but they are at times just not strong, but use a little floor polish and your good

Looks like an M4 Carbine to me. Like the tannish yellow pistol grip on the 1911. Don't care much for metallic paint though. You're right though, looks pretty damn cool on the card.

Butterflies do get loose. Spiderman has been the worst. Mine are getting played with though.

Some of mine have definitely gotten loose over time. Ive noticed it more so on certain body's like the pizza spidey body. Probably more of a mold degradation issue than anything else

the worst butterfly joint in any of my figures is the green suit iron fist, and it got so bad I had to super glue the butterfly joints just so only his arms would pivot. also my gamerverse spiderman and a few other marvel legends. now, I do have a few that have stayed solid, like my retro scarlet spider, still all stiff everywhere. but yea, for the majority of mine they get loose quick. most recent was the Johnny storm in the latest fantastic 4 wave. but he pretty much came with loose joints. I also note that im constantly posing my figures too. otherwise why take them out of the package.

All of my black suit/symbiote spidermen have had their joints become unbelievably loose

The butterfly joints on my vintage wave brown/tan Wolvy have become extremely loose. Haven't noticed it on the tiger stripe Wolverines I have, though...

I believe this one is the best yet. I hate to pay more than $20 but I was happy to get this one.

That’s funny I always thought that ruler was hard “that’s what she said”. So I’ve seen your reviews where a fig has multiple hands etc and you’ve only given it a 7, I thought each review was based on others in that same line? For instance, yes this is allot for a ML so I agree 8. I’m pretty sure most of us try to predict your rating right b4 u give it. It’s a weird satisfaction being able to predict the exact rating you give. I’m just trying to get better at my predictions, have a better understanding where u are coming from. It’s gonna b very interesting when u do the McFarland DC figs. Clean paint which I know you’re gonna love but... lol

Pizza Spidey butterfly joints, straight out the box, are either: Immobile even within their intended range OR Useless floppy shit Sunfire mold joints are always tops.

I think this is the metallic blue mafex probably should have used on wolverines tiger stripes. Or at least it would have made them look a ton better. What do you think

Why better than the Juggernaut wave Deadpool? Certainly the accessories on that one were better, plus he had holsters for the guns and knife and the rocket launcher even ported into his back. The articulation was the same, and the coloring is personal preference I guess.

My Walmart had those rulers on clearance. I bought a black one for my Channel

Just got one for my Birthday have not taken it out of its packaging, not shure if I'm gonna.. if I find another one I'll pick it up.. and one will come out..

The only looseness issue I've had with figures on the Sunfire buck is loose ankles. Like, my Quicksilver has fallen off my shelf a bunch because of that.

For comic style it would be the best Deadpool, but for me, the juggernaut wave Deadpool was the best Deadpool in my opinion.

What's the best way to remove figure without damaging packaging?

i prefer the version of the BAF of Juggernaut, but this is a pretty good figure.

i might just cut the harnesses and straps off so it looks like the first appearance deadpool

The first Marvel Legend I got ( Infinity War Black Panther) got looser and looser over time... The worst part is that I didn't need to touch him for that to happen, he just got loose while posed
