This Erik Killmonger serves as the standard Golden Jaguar costume (similar to the standard T’Challa from the Okoye BAF wave), whereas the two pack Killmonger serves as him using kinetic energy (similar to the M’Baku BAF wave T’Challa and the upcoming Marvel Studios Legacy T’Challa).
I hope that the legacy waves will have new characters from the old movies because I do remember when Dan hinted at the Warriors Three when they showed Odin for the Infinity Saga line last year. I really hope they do because we’re missing a majority of characters from phases 1-2 like the villains.
The cool prints on helmet and body.. seems like this figure is actually better than the last two Killmongers! Shiny faces dont bother me at all. Definitely getting this one. Thanks for the review!!
I’m probably going to pass on this one because I still love the aesthetic of the original (even though it’s not screen accurate). As you mentioned, I do wish these figures came with more since their priced at the new standard $25. Maybe alternate hands for the female figures and “claw slash” or “vibranium shockwave” effects parts for Black Panther and Killmonger. However, since there is no BAF I don’t feel like I have to commit to purchasing the entire wave which is nice.

Re: Texture differences ~ this must have been a running change on the original single release (#E1573) as mine has the texture. Batch code on the leg is 81241 if that means anything. Got him from a discount site well after the original street date so guessing he is from a later batch. Speaking of which, it looks like you can still get him and other figures from the wave for less than retail which makes these re-releases an odd decision.
