Marvel Legends Jean Grey Phoenix Force Unboxing & Review  

CORRECTION: After messing with the Phoenix effect abit more I finally got it to "snap" into place...Still not too happy about it.

Awesome review! It only makes sense to compare this Phoenix to other previous releases UNLIKE some other certain youtuber here. The other (first) reviewer didn't make any sense in terms of comparing this to other Marvel Legends. Thanks for doing the head swaps because it makes sense! UNLIKE some other first reviewer of this figure.

I really want the flaming phoenix effect for the dark Phoenix with the red costume I have.

Awesome review brother, I really like the alt head the way the hair flairs out the eye are great. It's overall a nice upgrade. I do think the previous colouring on both phoenix figures felt more premium but the current colours are okay. Some of those tamashi flame effects would also really go well with this figure to really bump up her power look. I assume this means an updated Cyclops will be coming before long then.

Wow, the Marvel Legends Jean Grey Phoenix Force figure looks incredible! The detail and paint job are truly impressive. I’m curious about how the articulation and accessories hold up in this release. She doesn't look like Jean at all. She looks more like Mary Jane from Spiderman. I agree with the Paint it should be a lighter green and the sculpt is meh. The Mafex figure is way better and more comic accurate. I won't pay for a figure that doesn't resembles the character. 😢

Waste of a accessory for a $50 price point. Not worth it

I ordered 2 of them but I HATE the look of the head sculpt! Jean is supposed to be beautiful & powerful. She looks like Liza Minnelli in the face🤣🤣… I still can’t wait to get it tho! 💯💯💯

MAN. You paid $70??? Why??? Haha dude its retailing for $50 which is still a lot but better than $70. Also, first day it went for pre-order it was mistakenly for $35 on big bad toy store.

This was a very helpful review. It only reaffirms my decision to pass on this one. After 23 years of collecting this line, I’m getting burned out on upgrading characters/costumes that I already have. It’s getting to be like consumer electronics. At some point, you just have to be happy with what you have, because there will always be something better coming out. I’ll stick with my Juggernaut wave Phoenix with the TRU exclusive two pack Dark Phoenix “non-evil, windswept hair” head.

The price isn't the best, and ironic since the smile face doesn't work in this case, they could skip that extra head. That will reduce the price.

I love the Phoenix effect, I think it looks beautiful! Jean is great too, though I’m not happy with the shade of green either - the previous one was the perfect colour in my opinion.

Appreciate the head swaps! It's so annoying they didn't make the green brighter to match the comics more, but this figure's colors do make a nice companion piece to the 2 pack Dark Phoenix. But now that she's out of the way, I'm hoping an updated Cockrum/Byrne era Cyclops is not far behind!

It's was a pass 60$ naw

The chest emblem is still too big, but my biggest issue is they have legs with sculpted on boot tips only to then go and use legs where they have to paint them on. That kind of kills it for me as they went all out until they got to that little spot and then they just gave up. That's a bummer. I would have had no problem paying $5 more for sculpted boots. I mean, at $50, what's another $5? Other than that little nitpick though, I am stoked for this figure.

She looks great. Did you pay $69.99 to get it early? She’s going for $49.99 on BBTS right now for preorder. Some folks jumped when they mispriced her for $34.99, even. It’s cool you got her soon, but that’s a lot of extra duckers to do so.

It's really good figure. I am not sure why Hasbro chose that type of torso, instead of something same as the red ones.
