The last 30 seconds of the video didn't upload - HERE IS WHAT YOU MISSED: I make a joke about Jubilee's removable roller skates and I share a link to the Moon Knight video, which you can find right here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NYiILWsy1uk.html
We’ve certainly come a long way in action figures. I’m fifty -one years old and I can say without a doubt:” we are in the Golden Age of action figures!” The present is good time to be a collector !Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching Robert - guys like us have lived the evolution of figures. I’d love to have a time machine and hand young me a super Posable Spidey just to watch my mind get blown!!!
Such a YOUNG MAN! I'm 64 and I have been Collecting for 28 years and 4 months! I started April 2nd, 1994! My son's birthday. In fact, just missing Holidays is a thing in my family. I'm December 27, my Sister Diana is July 5, my son Jake is April 2, my granddaughter Norah is November 24 so sometimes Thanksgiving, and my new grandson is October 28, so soon he'll be a year old. Only my 2 daughters escaped, Frani late August, Christina late May.
I love Toy Biz Marvel Legends. They give a nostalgic vibe. I own 4 Spider-Man and An Electra figure and Human torch figure and X-men movie Figures and 3 or 4 Wolverine figures but I own a lot more Hasbro and Diamond Select Marvel Figure’s.
I think that vibe comes from the fact that they were toys first - the goal was to sell as many as possible to kids and moms - but the people behind the line obviously loved the property and they would continue to slip stuff in for collectors as well!
Although a few are finally being replaced, one of my 3 Marvel Earth's, one I call 777, is almost entirely made up of Toy Biz figures! I'm talking about anywhere from 50-70 Toy Biz figures. I'm going through my Collection right now and seeing if any have been replaced. Right now, I'm seeing a Sabertooth, Wolverine, Dr. Strange, Storm, and a Captain America that have finally been put in my Yard Sale tote. I'm thinking there's a Marvel Gold Black Panther that can go too as I have added 3 new Panthers. Ah, and I'm now looking at an ancient Secret Wars Iron Man that can go too.
Right now I'm using it as Iron Monger! I figure that primative Armor is the best he can come up with. I think I still have Secret Wars Wolverine and Secret Wars Magneto. These have been played with as have the few Super Powers figures I still have. Regretfully I gave away or sold most of my Super Powers and Secret Wars figures in the late 1990s as better figures became available. I had no idea that I would still be Collecting after 28 year! Back in 1994 I actually was buying for my son. I watched him have the Marvel vs. DC battles that I could only dream about! We didn't have any kind of Action Figures back when I was a kid. All we had were Army Men and Cowboys and Indians. We had original G.I. Joe, but he was a Giant and had those weird hard plastic hands and couldn't hold his weapons, or his gear, and poor kids like me could only have one. If you wanted to play Super Heroes you had to sacrifice some of your soldiers, cut their guns off and create your own characters. You could use an Indian as your Archer, or, one with an Axe you can call Atomic Axe! Anyway, at some point collecting Action Figures became my hobby.
As great as some of the advancements in action figure design have been, when it comes to some of these Toybiz figures in the assortment, they “really don’t make ‘em like they used to.”
I had Hawkeye and ultron from the united they stand line as a kid so I remember the line. I might still have Hawkeye somewhere albeit missing an arm. Ultron I just got off ebay for nostalgia sake
I remember the Avengers United line..loved all the figs..but a couple of them is kinda sticky especially the colored parts including the Hawkeye and Falcon.
Great vid! I never got into these but I have an appreciation for them. You know I would love to have an Acts of Vengeance Mandarin in the armor from the 80's. Just a great showcase.
Seeing double jointed elbows on that vision and near perfect leg articulation on that wonder man makes me go WTF... why did it take almost 20 more years to do that again? lol
@@CarbonScoring so why did they devolve into cartoon shoulder joints and ball hips that make figures look like art class sculptures lol (those wooden figs you're supposed to put clay over)
20:50 , they did, originally they were going to do a captain america series and an original avengers series, there was a captain america episode in the show that was probably left over from the captain america series (a pilot maybe?) that they just straight put into the show, needless to say the ratings sucked and then bankruptcy happened with marvel. united they stand, united they fall.

I recently got the 20th anniversary captain America and although many aspects of the action figure dolly are fantastic. Such as the color, and masked head. I'm disappointed that hascrap didn't go the extra mile and put the whole thing together using a new buck. And that on the packaging different languages are used on a captain America action figure dolly.. Captain America!!! My point is that it's toy biz's fault that the technology and industry lag in ways that are astronomical to try and fix. The problems in China are nearly enough I think at this time, although they have made leaps and bounds with design and execution, but the communication between certain elements are like a deep black pit that can't be fixed. I wait to see if hascrap instantly tries to remedy the situation,as they did with the 80th anniversary captain America, which has reached insane prices on the secondary market, due to it's lack ability to be purchased in the United States of all places, and put out another captain America using a new buck such as the limited shredder from the TMNT power rangers collection, because hascrap is not only inefficient, lackadaisical, greedy, corrupt, dimwitted, suspicious, contemptible, traitorous, slimy, haphazard, they are also without morale scope heartless, cheesey, and nearly a great enemy of the nation as in Cobra. 😝
I am sure this question has been addressed in another post, but which state and national organizations are you approved by to provide Continuing Education Units for and how does this work. I let you know which videos I watched and you send me a certificate of attendance? I imagine these are category B CEUs as there is no way that you are able to assess my knowledge of what you have presented. So you might want to think about some form of test at the end that we can take to demonstrate that we understand the content you presented. In all seriousness, another excellent video. Thank you so much for making these. I use them as reward for when I have gotten a certain amount of work done during the week.
@@CarbonScoring Perfect! It might shock you to know that collecting action figures throughout my life has not led to the number of cool points that you would expect. A matter a fact, it seemed like the more action figures I put up in my dorm room the less cool points I end up with.
I have been so pleased with how loyal to the comic looks most MCU heroes are - but that 4 color goodness is really only able to be done in the pages of comic books!
