It’s crazy to think about just how big the cosmic side of Marvel comics can be. We may think Earth is a huge place filled with powerful people, but our home planet is just a tiny speck in the grand scheme of things. Over the years, Marvel Comics has introduced a massive amount of cosmic characters and entities who all seem to be more powerful than the last. But with the cosmos being so big, just who is the most powerful cosmic character of all time?
There are a lot out there! And that’s what today’s list is for. I’ll be discussing some of the lower level cosmic characters like Knull, Hulking and Adam Warlock to highlight just what the cosmic side of Marvel comics can offer for later in the MCU, as well as move onto some all-powerful forces like the Phoenix Force, the Infinites, The Celestials and the Embodiments of the Universe. That’s a lot to keep track of! And of course, I have to mention everyone’s favorite giant purple planet-eater Galactus and not only explaining just how powerful he can be, but also how he’ll fit in the MCU very soon!
So join me today as I break down all the powerful cosmic characters Marvel has to offer. The Phoenix Force & Knull definitely deserves to be put in higher positions..and if Hulking is in the list so should his better half, Wiccan (Wanda's Son Billy) who is destined to evolve into an all powerful cosmic being called the Demiurge who rewrites the laws of magic.

Opinion: Think the best way to do Phoenix Force would be to take a queue directly from the X-Men comics and have her immediately have her fly off into space and lay waist to stuff (would demonstrate exactly how dangerous she could be without ending the story right there). Once she came back to Earth the audience would know how dangerous she is and would set the risk / stakes level to it's proper setting.

Exactly the Phoenix force should be a Saga or at least 2 movies to it’s own and I don’t mean it being 1 movie with just the vague idea of it existing and the other movie just the Phoenix movie, I’d say it would have to be something like Infinity war and Endgame, though maybe it shouldn’t have a completely evil Phoenix cause it’s not really an evil force after all, destructive since it has immense power but not really evil, I don’t even like the fact that Gorr is just there for 1 movie since he was literally fucking up gods left and right till Multiple Thor’s and other gods got together to beat his ass, maybe Gorr is a set up for Knull and a King In Black storyline cause that shit would be epic as hell, still wish Gorr had more movies, maybe he will in the future.

For Dark Phoenix, they could end first set of movies hinting that a spark of the Phoenix is still in Jean Grey (and again taking a queue directly from the comics) have her empathic powers somehow corrupt the Phoenix force still in her igniting (yeah, pun) the Dark Phoenix for the next set of movies.

Living Tribunal does exist, I remember going to Dr. Strange with my cousin and both of us had planned to look out for Easter eggs and remember Mordo gave Strange a staff... And remember what he called it? The Staff of the Living Tribunal.

I believe the One Above All has already been in the MCU and other universes in the form of Stan Lee cameos. This theory would finally explain Stan Lee in the MCU and explain his place in the Marvel Multiverse. This theory could also explain why Gorr the God Butcher is slaying gods, the reason being that he feels even the One Above All deserted mankind since Stan Lee/The One Above All hasn't made any cameos since his last cameo chronologically in Infinity War (may he rest in peace).

Random thoughts: It was said Knull decapitated a celestial. Was he the one who created knowhere in the MCU? Knull would be the perfect villain for the final venom film. Also I wonder if Adam warlock will play a huge part in defeating Kang instead. This could work since the MCU tends to take comic storylines and alter them slightly

Also missed out on the Marquis of Death iteration of Clyde Wyncham. Also missing peak Molecule man and Franklin Richards from when they were re-seeding the multiverse post mad Celestials arc. I mean Molecule man at a point I would argue wasn't at his best was still an equal to the Beyonder. Definitely beyond Hulkling at the very least. Also kind of not quite right to say that all Celestials are super top tier. They are all powerful but not everyone is at the level of Arishem the Judge or similarly powerful celestials.... Thats like saying humans/mutants just because some mutants are Omega level. Doesn't quite work.

OMG is that the level of desperation you wandatards are??? SW even in her Darkhold Mastery and Cthon Posession isn't in the level of the Phoenix force That's the STRAIGHT FACT. Let me expalain to you how SW even in her prime can never be equal to the phoenix force. 1. When you try to say that SW was able to banish the phoenix. Not until The phoenix force Came and said " Screw that" , " MORE MUTANTS" and it Happen in that very moment. Breaking wanda's Spell. 3. Phoenix force jean healed the Omiverse by Healing the Mkraan crystal 4. She Played Reality like a toy making her almost Equal to the One above all. Read comics. 5. She made 4 fundamental Gods of Marvel Bow or Kneel down to her ( Oblivion, death, Infinity and Eternity) the moment they saw what the phoenix can do. And finally, Scarlet witch remains either a Hero or a Villain in the end. While Phoenix jean grey is fated to Go beyond what human understands and had to Live a Goddess once she became WPOTC. Scarlte witch is never an Equal to the phoenix force spcecially in their Prime.

There is no way just the venom verse can take on Knull and it’s kinda crazy that people can even think that, this is a being that can take down multiple Celestials easy and even by just the MCU standards where most beings are less powerful Celestials are still a major threat, each one at least capable of threatening all of earth or the entire Galaxy so imagine a being that can kill multiple of those easily, this guy is a gigantic power house in the cosmic hierarchy of power. I don’t like the fact that Gorr is just there for 1 movie since he was literally fucking up gods left and right till MULTIPLE THORS AND OTHER GODS got together to beat his ass, maybe Gorr is a set up for a King In Black Saga which would be epic but still he should’ve had another movie, maybe Gorr will have more movies in the future.

Well, the one above all is already in the MCU. All the appearances of stan lee is basically the appearances of Toaa. He is omnipresent, that's why he is everywhere in every movie. Makes sense now?? Maybe MCU will reveal that one day. But alas! Stan lee is gone, and they need to do something else about it.

A very big flaw in the list: Knull just created one blade killed a celestial asap. After really got into business, VERY few celestials stood against him.

I don't agree with you on Galactus. He is a member of the cosmic pantheon along with Infinity, Eternity, Death and Oblivion for a good reason. Even though his max power has never been seen, he is meant to be every bit as strong as them if he achieves such state, which makes sense as he is the Eternity of the previous universe. And on top of that, Stan Lee himself once said on Twitter that Galactus is meant to be the most powerful being within the 616 universe. There was also that time the Dark Celestial modified Galactus so that his hunger would be limitless, which resulted in his becoming so powerful that no one could stop him and a threat to the multiverse.
