Marvel's Agents of SHIELD 1x18 Promo "Providence" (HD) 

The whole episode made sense now. The base was never in Hydra control, after the Hydra message, Hand reacted immediately and rooted out Hydra members that she could identify. All the while Garrett just attached and go along with Coulson team to TAKE the base from SHIELD's hand by killing Hand. On the other hand, Ward used to be under Garrett, so he became Hydra then. Garrett puts him in Coulson's team to find out how he survived Loki's attack. Then Ward has been sleeping with May and flirted with Skye to cause distress within the team. Now Garrett failed to take The Hub for Hydra, Ward immediately moved on to the next target: The Fridge, where SHIELD kept super dangerous enemies and WEAPONS (let's not forget that). That's why he killed Hand, freed Garret, now with the weapon designs on Skye's harddrive and access to the Fridge, god know what they can do. Helicarriers were destroyed, but that's not the only plan Hydra set in motion. Hydra plans didn't fail! Remember Baron Strucker is still on the loose, and Hand mentioned Hydra took control of East African bases, isn't that the 1st place where Red Skull reappeared in modern-world? HAIL HYRDRA!

I feel like someone stepped on my heart. Then ripped it into a thousand pieces. And then did it again.

This show is ON FIRE!!!

I was shocked and so angry at the son of a bitch! Here's to hoping very hard that Ward is a triple agent or something...

Make Ward be one of the big bad guys was a brilliant move. Congrats for AoS to have the balls for this!

Wow! I didn't even know that I had to watch Captain America before this! But I did it without even know! I'm so lucky!

And then i remember: This is a Joss Whedon show. Always expect the unexpected.

Maybe Ward wants to get out of Hydra now that the body count he's piling up is too great... maybe he wants to be with Skye but can't... Ugh I hope Skye gets her powers

He's doing it to protect Skye! He knows what the clairvoyant said about Skye in the previous episode and now that he knows Garret is the clairvoyant he'd rather pretend to stand for HYDRA and protect Skye rather than see her die, its why he killed Hand and the other SHIELD agents. He would do anything to protect Skye. I can see this being revealed in the season finale

The plot twist on the end of last episode was really unexpected IMO and it was really cool! Can't wait to see where they go from here.

Something tells me that Ward isn't there for himself, he might be trying to save Skye in some way.

I actually wonder if the Ward situation is fake or not...this makes more sense to me that he could be Hydra if you remember his backstory from earlier in the season regarding him having family issues and the flashback with his brother.

maybe garret is his older brother. like HUGE family issues

It's like Frozen all over again

Something must make ward change sides back to shield because they've already said that skyeward fans are going to be happy with what happens between the two of them so maybe she convinces him to leave hydra and shoot agent garret.

Ward with HYDRA, Doesn't make sense, especially with the way it came out of the blue like that, not to mention the fact that he and Skye are finally starting to hit it off. Only two possibilities come to mind for this to make any sense to me. 1. Ward is faking it and is going deep cover to find out just how far the HYDRA infiltration goes and where their other operations are, allowing the remaining SHIELD agents to take it down in the same manner HYDRA did them. It would make sense since Hand would know that Garrett would never break, or give them everything they need. Plus it was sort of hinted when she said that she could use someone of Ward's skill, and being a deep cover agent would indeed fit him perfectly. Not to mention he would have history with Garrett, which would make it easier for him to get close. Another thing that makes me think that this is all just one big ploy is how Hand offered to let Ward kill Garrett, especially given what he would know about HYDRA. She is a by the book agent and would not let emotions get the better of her and kill someone with information she needs, this would be out of context for her character. My guess is that Hand and the agents are still alive and the bullets were fakes, and made Hand and the other SHIELD agents look dead. 2. The other possibility is that Ward is under some kind of hypnotic control that turns him into a ruthless killer for HYDRA, similar to what to he went through with Lorelei when he was under her control, and was activated by some kind of signal or code phrase said by Garrett. These are of course only theories, but they make the most sense for Ward's sudden actions at the end of the episode, personally speaking number 1 seems the most likely and believable.

I never really liked him away. I hope they stay true with him being Hydra and not twist it into some lame love thing or him being a triple agent.

when coulson says to ward "thats how he beat us,by been a friend" i think that was the go ahead for ward to go infiltrate hydra in the same way,,,,!prob totally wrong but we will see :)

Wow shocking you think Melinda was the trader come to find out it was John aka (Clairvoyant) and Grant. Them bastards fool us the whole time I hope for Grant sake he's going to end up 2 timing John and be back on S.H.I.E.L.D's side again.

Would be pretty cool to see Skye becomming a new member of the Avengers - if she gains the powers by then ^^

If ward is evil I wonder what will happen to Skye because the clairvoyant want skyes powers and want her dead the upcoming episode are gonna be AMAZING!!!!!! SKYEWARD ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have watched both Captain America films, you will have a better understanding to the background of what is going on, especially some parts that involve hydra. Just a heads up. ;p

I think ward is on the good side and he just joined the HYDRA team to protect Agent Coulson and his team.

i don't think Ward is part of Hydra. Before Ward goes into the plane with agent Hand he looks back at Coulson and gives him a nod. I think Coulson put him undercover as they say "keep your friends close, but enemies closer". PLUS I SHIP SKYEWARD!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if ward is going undercover to infiltrate hydra and he shot victoria with an ICER gun like the one coulson used on may so she isnt dead.

Am I the only one that was glad that agent flip or whatever the black dudes name was wasn't Hydra I was like praise Jesus the black man isn't evil
