I personally find it really difficult to gain altitude and speed from the ground bc the charge jump is slow and weak, and swinging doesn't go fast. I know there are upgrades. I just got stuck hitting the ground while swinging and trying to jump a lot. This is after having played the other games a lot. Imho it feels weak. Maybe a bit better after upgrades idk.
I had a PlayStation when I was younger and have had an Xbox over the last decade. I got a PlayStation 5 for Xmas, and I have never played either of the Spider-Man games. This is easily top 2 games I’ve ever played and being a huge Spider-Man fan this game is awesome. I thought this game would be hard to play but it’s surprisingly easy to play.
Same! I haven't had a console since PS1, just got my PS5 with Spiderman 2, and I'm beyond blown away. I'm not great at it yet, lol. But it's the coolest thing I've seen in forever

I'm not a fan of how the fast travel unlocks. I hate being forced to jump through a bunch of hoops in order to unlock a basic game function, even if I'm gonna jump through the hoops anyway eventually.
@@richardwattior it's not about difficulty, it's about dragging a simple mechanic out far longer than it needs to be. who wants to put in an hour or 2 of busy work just to unlock a single fast travel point? no one.

I like tht u mentioned, "swinging gets kinda old" its a hard pill 2 swallow but the truth, insomniac needs to innovate on the web swinging, Spider-Man starts to loose his identity in this game bc most ppl would prefer 2 fast travel & fly like superman 2 get from point A to B instead of swinging bc swinging unfortunately feels the same in this game.
@@nathansanrochman5018 it does. look at the video Octorious made called "Change These Spider-Man 2 Settings Before Playing!". Setting it to 0 makes the swinging way better, focusing on physics and apparently increasing speed as well. It also removes the ground barrier the game had
Yeah it's person by person thing. I've been playing Spiderman ps4 since launch till now on and off, platinumed it, and have only used fast travel when the game forces me to during the story. I genuinely enjoy the swinging, even though a lot of people love the raimi SM2 game as the gold standard, I've personally always enjoyed the feeling of Insomniac's web swinging.
Oof, I was hoping the danacast thing would go away. They try so hard to make it sound "Gen Z", it's awful. It sounds like the trope-y nonsense we got from Saints Row
