Spider Man 2 has a lot of side missions, and some are great, while some are not that great. Hear me talk about it (that's not a request).
This is what I think of the collectibles and symbiote nests :
The collectibles include the prowler stashes, spider bots and photo ops. One good thing about these are that they have some kind of twist to them rather than them being just as simple as : go to location, press triangle and swing away.
But the photo ops are just essentially this, though that can be excused, as they require little to no effort and are something you do just when you find one, rather than actively seeking out each one. This is the same for the spider-verse bots, but at least they’re interesting as they show different variants of Spider-people. I honestly think the first game’s backpacks were much better though, as they actually provided a window into Peter Parker’s life as Spider-Man, and most importantly we get to see a dumpling recipe.
The only outlier collectible is the prowler stashes, which have puzzles, a massive improvement from the relatively simpler and frankly boring underground stages in Miles Morales.
Of course these provide value in the form of tokens, which can be used to buy suits. But that’s all they extend to.
The symbiote nests I think are a really good challenge, especially in the earlier stages of the game, as they get harder.
good job reading, here have an apple : 🍎
