Yeah it’s a bunch of smaller things along with the better frame rate that’s what I wished the original was at I’m happy they’re remastering it so I can get it this year instead of waiting for Sony to release a pc port of the game

True, but Chris doesn’t visually change in the same damn game! They at least wait for sequels to make the character look different. This remaster is unnecessary.
This is the 60fps performance mode. If you want the 4k ray tracing mode, you’ll have to choose it. That’s at 30fps like the PS4 version but will look much better.
@@traktor420 Majority of the important scenes show his face, especially every scene that includes dock ock is with him without a mask and also the ones when you meet aunt May at the feast center. Point is every important scene is him being unmasked And if you skip those you'd be confused at what is happening during the game.

That's pretty much how remasters work nowadays , it's sad tbh The lightning gets a touch up and they literally call it a day , I'm guessing it will have better reflections and now run at 60 fps so worth it if you haven't played the original one like I didn't , but now I'm reconsidering the face throws the whole thing off , the old one was literary the best model
It's not just the brightness. The windows also have better reflections now and stuff. Ray-tracing is also a thing in the game now. His face looks too young for a 23 year old though
@@Ricky911_ yo , just wanna be honest , cant speak for everyone , but in a fast paced game such as this , swinging around , jumping and zipping around beating up criminals , i doubt people will even notice the minute details , such as better reflections , the whole raytracing feature itself being advertised is complete hit and miss rn , mabye it will be a way more integral part of games 2 years down the line from now , but rn , only purists might notice the details , reflections and so on
@@karaboys1100 the footage is in performance mode. this isnt the full graphical upgrade. its a lower fidelity option so that people can play in 60fps for the first time.
Avengers has nothing to do with this wtf. They changed it because they wanted someone who looked, more comic related or the original face model actor must of did something to make the studio angry because he hasn’t spoken up either
@Shaman Xeed Lol what do you mean by flop? It's just a remaster. The game already blew up on the PS4. This one is made for ps5 owners who still love to play Spiderman PS4 on the new system.
This game didn't need a "remaster." Insomniac/Sony could've literally given everyone a free patch which slightly updated the resolution and framerates for the PS5.
Yeah nah I’ll take ray tracing and 60 FPS with a more detailed game world thank you very much. If it didn’t need a remaster then stick with the original version, don’t complain about a lot of major upgrades.
GwynieBoy the thing is we really don’t need a “remaster.” All the changes are shallow and they even changed Peter’s face. The game is like 3 years old and just making the original playable on PS5 would’ve been fine.
Cade Quillion the original already is playable on PS5, this is just for people who want the extra next-gen experience, although I do agree that they should have kept Peter’s old face, the new one makes no sense
The part my dumb brain is freaking out over is REAL reflections. Before, all the reflections on all the windows was just a view of the empire state, and you'd turn around and it wasn't even there. I'm glad they fixed it.

Its also higher resolution by far, and has higher quality textures, reflections, and shadows. As someone who played 100s of hours on Ps4pro spidey I can see there is plenty here. And this is the performance mode. In the quality mode that is the same 30fps as the ps4 game the visual quality increase will be way larger, ray tracing etc.
No one is forcing you to buy the ultimate edition anyways so my question for your question is why bother being a smartass? Buy miles morales for $50 or with Spider-Man remastered for $70. You have options so choose and stop crying.

@Raven Reyes PTZ If you play with 60 FPS and then drop the FPS to 30, you'll notice the difference. I used to be glad I could run in 30 FPS, but since I managed to run in 60 FPS, I never want to go back to 30 anymore.

im glad im not the only one who thinks this, the suit design grew on me since the announcement trailer but damn, he looks like a basket ball, if it had a more flourishing red like his other suits i'd wear it more often
I get it sony, you wanna charge again for the same game, released 2 years ago just added a patch for smooth 60fps and slightly better texture, reflections and changed peter face.
Definitely Worth a second playthrough!! Now, only if I had time.... Let's see, Cyberpunk, Miles Morales, Valhalla, Watch Dogs, sigh..... Backlog it is, then....

Because its a gen leap, the sequel won't come out for awhile, now other people who didn't play the game or who really enjoyed it can play it again at higher graphics on a new generation, there's no negative of publishing this game

damond green This is PERFORMANCE MODE. They focus on getting high FPS. There is a GRAPHICS MODE, using ray tracing and 30fps. Play graphics mode with ray tracing then on 30fps. That will look way better than this gameplay
when spider-man on ps4 came out 2 years ago, remember those complaints about the graphics being downgraded for the actual game in comparison to the pre-release trailers and teaser gameplay (the pre-release trailers and teaser gameplay graphics were better)? here you go, they knew what they were doing all along, they showed us ps5 graphics 2 years ago and no one seen it coming

Or you probably just don't understand it. It's not a remake. A remastered means upgraded textures, framerate and different qol improvements and as far as I'm aware we are getting all of them
double fps, and higher res, higher textures, shadows and reflections. As well as a 2nd mode 30fps with ray tracing. That is a significant upgrade. You may be confusing remaster with remake.

I swear no one read the title of 60fps performance mode. This is running at 2x fps and higher rez, with improved textures and shadows and reflections. You played the game at dogshit 30fps like I did, not this glorious smoothness. This isnt even the "quality" mode that has really pushed visuals at 30fps with ray tracing....
that's what i'm saying, doesn't ps5 have backwards comparability? i dont see the necessity of this. more frames is nice but can you look at the ps4 version and say it needed an upgrade? really?
@@ukiyo26 It's not remastered, they just brought it to the PS5 and cranked up the graphics settings, don't kid yourself. If you want to talk about a remaster go look at the new Demon's Souls. That's worth $60, not this double-dipping moneygrab that they call Spiderman "Remastered" lmao.
