Since you ordered an extra Hulk just in case you could pant his pants blue and take robot head and sculpt the other half of his face, I've seen some on insta and looks pretty good.
Diamond Select loves to include ab crunches that never crunch. I get that sometimes contractually they have to be limited on points of articulation with competitors but the ab issue was always weird.
The competition thing is so stupid. Just make whatever amount of articulation you want in a figure and let the consumer decide what’s best with their wallets. It’s so stupid and pointless. Selects can be amazing but they’re instead hobbled.
This Hulk looks awesome, I’m really glad I preordered it and I also want to do the modification but like you I don’t want to mess up my figure. The modifications for the PS4 Spider-Man are great and its now one of my favorite figures

Diamond select said they limit articulation because of Hasbro's marvel contract. If they add more articulation to their figures....it could impede on Hasbro's contract and they could possibly get sued or lose the marvel license. No one can sell hyper articulated marvel figures in the 6/7 inch scale under $80 in America except for Hasbro....so Diamond select just does enough articulation to avoid having to mark the figures up.
Nice work. Thanks for the tips, it’s fun seeing what you can do to make these figures just a bit better. I do wish they would’ve given us a few more heads for this but either way it’s an awesome figure out of the box and even better with more articulation. Hopefully we’ll get some sculptors making fun custom heads for this to add even more to the look.
I just got this beast, and yes I'm totally gonna try to mod him, your tutorial was the first and last one I needed to see, I didn't even think bout the jaw mod, only other thing I plan to do is add torn white clothes coming from the waist and paint the joints on the knees green, really glad I caught this video of yours, thanks
Great result after that modification to the torso! I am going to do the same to mine. This is an awesome Hulk figure but I wish someone could 3D print a head from the Incredible Hulk cartoon (1982 animated series) and sell me one 😁 My favorite version of Hulk.
Great Review and suggestions, followed your instructions and the modifications worked out great ,only did the Ab crunch and my Hulk can now do his mile high leaps, thanks again.
For anyone attempting this, popping the ball joints back in and out was a pain(I soaked the parts 1-2 minutes each) I recommend popping in the smaller ends of the dumbbell joints (to the head and upper torso). You will get more control to pop in the larger ends of the dumbell joints.
If you try something like this again, I suggest heating up the head and get it into the position you like then run cold water over it. That should keep it in place
Thanx Wade this mod is a fav! I did both the front and back channels for the torso peg, on both the torso hole and trunk hole. He crunchs and bends back soooo much better. Waaay better ACBA poses now. Cheers man. Mint Juleps forever
The tricks to certain Plastics maybe it'll work on him heat up the head again with hot water mole to your desired pose, then dunk it in ice water hold it there for a while it should hold
Yeah this thing has been very hard to get. Someone beat me to a pre order at big bad toy store, by the time it took me to enter my credit card at check out. Finally got one on pre order back on October 27th still waiting for it to ship.
Hey man. You did a top 10 list of marvel select figures a while back. I got a question about the Marvel Select Ultron figure. Does it have a waist twist ? My copy doesn't seem to have one and some of the older reviews say it doesn't and some others say it does. Mine doesn't seem to be a Knockoff but this waist twist issue has me a tad concerned.
I LOVE my Hulk, and am super tempted to do this torso mod with mine. I have an alternate cast head I got and am painting up, so I so g be doing the jaw mod. I’m not bothered by the head sculpt in person, though.

Dang i was gonna do it for the torso and neck but mouth is something new to me. Would it not stay closed if u heated it up and close it and put it in the ice water while still pinching it closed?? Glueing will be too much work for me. - someone even lazier
Hi saw ur vids ur good at mods can you suggest what color is the joints screw on the legs and thighs mine are faded when i got them its not purple but its almost pink
Question, did your hulk figure have lines or scratches on it straight out of the package. Mine did , but it's not a deal breaker but for the price and waiting so long for the pre order to go through is kind of disappointing.
Diamond Select always re releases figures. It won't be rare, unless they lose the rights, like the Ghost Buster figures. The cartoon ones are very expensive and rare now, especially the Egon figure.
