55:00 Magento left would've actually lost, really heads up play from Frodan. He knows there's a Magneto in the opponents deck and letting that pull both his Jessica and Storm would've lost him mid. Pulling the Cosmo with priority was actually really sweet to watch, wish the commentators had caught on
@@savai9429he played poorly and lost for it. no risk guaranteed win if he plays aero to the left, power and time right. Reality stone had a good amount of loss rolls for him there, like any of the three negative power zones, monster island, jotunheim, altar of death, atlantis, luke’s bar, throne room, etc. Not really gonna look at every single location and see which ones were bad, but this wasn’t like a bar with no name fluke roll where every other outcome was fine. He got one of a good amount of bad locations when he had a play pattern to avoid ever doing that.
Frodan being a free to play player losing by one life to one of the best players with the strongest deck says alot about the skill of Frodan and also how dynamic this game is.
Really hoping production can shrink the in-hand/destroyed/discarded panels to be a little smaller so we can actually have a view of where the non-featured player view is playing cards. Give that small window enough space so we can see where they're playing cards without having to eagle-eye it, please!
I’m pretty sure the right play in the last game of KM vs Cozy was aero left, power stone right. And you just don’t play reality stone so No reality stone RNG. I’m pretty surprised KM didn’t find this line - I’d assume he’s pretty nervous or something- he also had a pretty big misplay in his first round against specimen. You could say it’s hindsight to point out a better line but anyone who’s play reality stone knows how often it can mess you up - and I think KM would hold himself up to a higher standard of play to be able to eek out win percentage in cases like this. There’s actually a handful of other locations that KM’s reality stone could have rolled to have lost him the game: Monsters Metropolis, monster island, Bar with no name, Atlantis, Alter of Death, Luke’s Bar, any of the minus zone like nercrosha, negative zone, or sewer system. And probably some others I didn’t think of. KM was definitely favored to win on most location rolls, but it’s not like the loss was a one in a million shot. Not dogging on any of the players but I think Cozy and Specimen earned their wins and KM definitely has a chance to have won important games in this series with tighter play.
I was pretty pleased to see that. More so because Cozy is my spirit animal bringing two cool off meta decks. KMbest brought Shuri AND Thanos and still lost. Lol.
Cozy is the bro but KM didn't get wrecked. Honestly he beat himself with the reality stone because if not for that he wins that last game and cozy is down to one boop 🤣😂🤣
My biggest downfall in this game is that I play as though snapping is not a thing. Never snap on my own and never retreat because the opponent snapped except in extreme cases where it's clear I can not win. Fun factor over cubes every day of the week lol.
The cozy match was unfair for a tournament. Thanos deck should be banned cuz of leech but in the other hand it was so satisfying seeing cozy beat a Thanos deck.
Leech is only a problem when paired with other cards leech/leader. Leech/Thanos. One his own he is a just a good card to counter many deck. The game will loose so much counter play if Leech is nurfed to hard.
Poor Dekkster getting Shruri/RS opponents back to back 🤦♂️ At least this time he came with a more manageable deck. He plays interesting non metas so probs to him for the effort. And shout-out to Cozy letting Thanos deck shoot itself in the foot being too cheese for its own good lol.
The tournament is good and all that but I really am shocked some of the math is just not getting done correctly here. These guys are supposed to be card game players no?
I think KM could’ve played that without RNG being included. If he just reality stones and aero’s in deaths domain and plays the other stones in the right lane, I don’t think there’s anything that can beat him.
@@user-sp9po5qi9q Aero right is not the best line. Playing Aero into deaths domain is a 100% win since he has priority and he's pulling the she hulk. Just sacrifice that lane and play a free time stone, power stone, or both on the right and win cloning vats & strange academy.
@@user-sp9po5qi9q he can't lose if he aeros left, they know what cards are in deck at this point, so cozy isn't able to play more than 3 cards. aero left and powerstone + time right cannot lose and has no RNG. Cozy didn't play coulson so there's no outlier win card he has to play around.
A developer on the MS Discord said that Leech is important for counterplay to "remove pressure created by strong cards", "a clean answer to cards that pack all their Power in the last minute". It makes sense. Leech is not fun to play against, but is necessary.
turn 5 leech is not a problem heck no one even whining about him before. it only started when leech can be played before turn 5 because of Thanos/Lockjaw deck.
damn! how can people play with money in this game??? its so random, for me personally its too random to consider it a real esport, competitive game, its a game to have fun with and not take it too seriously
yes that's true every match is so random and lot of location RNG, the competitive aspect is on the "snap" mechanism, if you feel location is bad for you, just reatreat for 1 cube, so it's all about cubes management
@@rafatabaharansyah7056 @Henry Zhou You guys have a good point in that sense but the counter mechanics are quite limited compared to other TCGs, if they added a set of sideboard cards to be able to modify your deck in between matches would make it more competitive
