Cap is my fave MCU character. I actually just watched CA: The First Avenger the other day and that was the first time in a long time I watched it. Personally I think his arc was more poignant; he constantly put the team first. Watched his best friend die then come back. Lost his own chance at life but still fought the good fight. He kept his promise and stayed true to himself. I’m still disappointed with his ending tbh but that’s just personal preference.
David L that’s very true, I didn’t even think about that. My guess is that Cap felt he’d be able to stay behind because guys like Sam would be there to continue the fight. He never would’ve done that if he wasn’t absolutely sure the world was in good hands.
