Seeing the tone being set here, I will never understand cancelling the other Netflix projects Marvel was cooking. This genuinely looks good, and if Disney was up for keeping it dark and gritty, just keep what you had!
@katzueki if it's well written, then watching a flawed character fight with her inner demons against the influence of the Kingpin is a great start. Also, it doesn't look like Disney. Clearly the producers of the Netflix shows have been given free reign to keep doing what they do best.
not everything needs to be dark and gritty. i'd be more bored by that than anything. if it needs to be dark and gritty, make it dark it gritty, but saying this should be a standard...that's not always respecting the comic source material.
They were cancelled because Marvel’s deal with Netflix ended and Disney was bringing in Disney+. Part of the cancellation meant that Marvel couldn’t use the characters from those shows for two years after their cancellation. Then there was the issue that the shows themselves were still on Netflix, so (for example) a fourth season of Daredevil would be sending people to a streaming rival to catch up. As of February last year all those shows are now on Disney+, and they’ve begun integrating some of those characters and content into Marvel TV and movies. None of it’s been a creative decision, it’s all contracts n’ business.
Brillantly edited trailer that tonally hits so much closer to what I wanted to see from a Marvel show since the end of the Netflix era. The sceptic in me, who has been burned in his hopes and hypes too many times by Disney, still warns that this trailer relies on Fisks delivery and menace and the excellent editing maybe a little too much. But still this looks so much more interesting than most of phase 4 and 5 so far. Probably not going to be Marvel's Andor moment but for once something to really look forward to. How refreshing. 🙂
Remember when everyone thought Hawkeye was going to be a big part of the show called Hawkeye? Or Doctors Strange in MOM? Or Ant Man in Quantumania? Just kidding, I do hope Wilson Fisk will be a big part, and I saw Daredevil in the trailer, so hopefully, they do him, Echo, and Kingpin justice this time. Not much hope left for MCU but it was a decent trailer.
I honestly feel like the trailers for the other shows (except maybe Loki, Werewolf by Night, and WV which were all winners for me) didnt have nearly as much exciting content to show as this one did though. Hopefully it turns out to be good
First of all, finally some bold action. Second, YES, we get to see the indigenous background (kudos to the actress' ancestry too) Last but not least, DAREDEVIIIIIIIIIIIL
@@tylermellor8749 How does it make it make it more interesting? Even if you didn’t know her background which most do not. It looks good without that info. So again no one is watching cause she’s indigenous
Absolutely! This is a great sign of things to come. This trailer has got me even more hyped for Daredevil Born Again knowing that they’re fully embracing the adult content
This has the same dark feel as the Netflix Defenders shows which is giving me hope for Daredevil Born Again and a possible continuation of the other shows. Kingpin is just like how he was in Daredevil. I’m glad I decided to give it a watch. Originally I didn’t care much about Echo in Hawkeye but this trailer has me interested
This looks so sick! Follows in the mood of Netflix daredevil. I can't believe people are still trying to hate on this. Lol. Can't wait. Been looking forward to this since it was announced.
Guess what.... I'm a huge of Monsterverse and especially the king of the monsters ....GOJIRA and godzilla x kong is arriving on 12th april...my best birthday ❤️❤️❤️
Ha, when this show was announced I was like "uhhh... who asked for this?". I think it was announced before we saw Kingpin show up in Hawkeye. Seeing how prominent in this he is before and after the Hawkeye story and I KNOW we just saw Daredevil, mirite?? That dude's gun shot to the neck... ok... so we're getting a violent show on Disney+ possibly getting to DD's level (or up to Punisher??). I'm here for it
I'm not sure why they've called this series "Echo" though because it's reported that they've replaced her mimic powers with other ones instead. Meaning she'd no longer "echo" someone's abilities. Other than that small gripe this looks decent enough
I like the fact that this dosent look like a Disney show. But, knowing how things have been managed, I feel that the only good thing about this show will be the trailer.
The ppl who makes these trailers deserve a raise. Only they can make something that will be as good as secret invasion seem interesting. Can't wait to see reactors hype this up. Then go to the lou to lose their lunch
I wouldn't be surprised if they digitally added blood after seeing so many other shows flop lately to trick us into thinking this is more serious. Remember, this was delayed several times, so a lot of things are reshot, presumably in reaction
Wow, just wow, I can not wait for this. I can't wait. im hoping she gets the phoenix force to as the xmen are coming, so that would be a great thing to add
This is more like it, Marvel/Disney! It looks dark and gritty, like the excellent Netflix/Marvel shows were - I just hope that the new Daredevil show follows suit.
More Kingpin, played by an amazing actor, seems interesting. I don't care about this Echo person (and what I saw in Hawkeye was really not that interesting), but Kingpin is gold. Very cautiously I am very very slightly optimistic this may not suck.
Wow an mcu show that looks good for a change after they binned the defenders and punisher series it's almost like they are trying to listen to the fans for a change!
Now i understand why marvel higher ups thought this wasnt good because it looks like proper adult themed rated r netflix daredevil type series....not the recent usual marvel goofy crap
I feel like Marvel has failed on nearly every show they've tried, to varying degrees. While this trailer doesn't look like the MCU, however, it reminds me of the Netflix MU, which I actually loved, and not just because Kingpin is back, but the tone. So, much to my surprise, I'm actually looking forward to this.
Not gonna lie not really interested I mean it might be good but I think Kingpin needs to finally come out of just these series. He needs to be more a main villain brought into the MCU proper. Would love to see him go against Tom Holland's new spiderman. God bless everyone.
Looks good but I'm still cautious due to recent lackluster Marvel stuff. Marvel should ignore Disney's family-friendly rules and go more hard R-rated stuff.
