Fantastic 4 was first "officially" teased at the most recent Disney investor's day, during the Marvel panel, of course.

Eternals basically become the backstory of the whole MCU since the birth of the universe, I think.

I would love to see Ant Man & Wasp, Barton, Banner etc start the West Coast Avengers. Would be so awesome. Especially since F4 will now occupy New York.

It looks like Fantastic Four is going to be taking the place of the usual Avengers movie at the end of Phase 4, and my money is on July 4th weekend 2023. And that audience reaction was shot by the Russo brothers themselves; they released it on Twitter on the one-year anniversary of Endgame opening night.

I think they ended on Shang-Chi because it is technically the first phase 4 movie. Black Widow comes first but her movie is set post Civil War. Shang-Chi is the first movie after Far From Home (end of phase 3) that is set post Endgame

FF was already announced a couple months ago. They just happened to reveal it in the Phase 4 lineup.

I'm in love with The Fantastic 4 but I think they only ended on The Fantastic 4 because in the trailer they were in order amd releasing them by dates and The Fantastic Fou4 doesn't have a released date yet nor are they even close to filming it.

Fantastic Four was announced during a Disney investor call back in December. Jon Watts (the director of the MCU Spider-Man movies) is directing.

I don't know why they didn't stay with Captain Marvel for the main title and then add something alluding to other heroes in that movie, but I guess they're trying to address the multiple "Captain Marvels" or "Marvels" who will be in it. Carol Danvers is assumed but I believe the white star like emblem is for Monica Rambeau's "Photon/Captain Marvel in the Comics" and the "S" is for "Ms Marvel" Kamala Khan

I always loved the Fantastic Four comics. It's been really sad that all the movies have been so terrible up to now.

I don't know Aka. I think Eternals is a more complex movie to sell to audiences than Shang-Chi. Eternals have a whole info dump of lore they have to establish that predates back to the literal beginning of the Marvel Universe. Eternals, Externals, Celestials, etc. Shang-Chi doesn't have to do all of that.

yo i was waiting for you to react to this but no rush though i'm not a kid who gets angry about this i'm an adult so i know time is not on our side. Also i hope star wars bad bunch is coming on this channel i saw its pretty good probably better then clone wars. Also didn't realize how much of a huge impact marvel as done while disney is still trying to find a good batman character for like a year or 2.

One thing i like about phase 4 is the TV Series between movie releases, instead of new content every few months, now it is week after week (of course, not counting may because Loki and Black Widow will release until next month)

Marvel doesn’t miss, I’m a DC/Marvel fan but DC has been on a downward spiral for years and it sucks, hopefully James Gunn saves DC

I'm confused about what you mean by pandering? Everyone seems mad hype for Shang-Chi. I also think they finished on that because it'll be the first theaters-only release since the pandemic. I took it as a funny thing like they just hit us in the gut with all these amazing titles one after the other and we're blown away 😂

The Marvels is the official title of Capt Marvel 2. Its going to star Spectrum (aka Monica Rambeau) and Ms. Marvel alongside Carol Danvers.

Marvel has always tried to set their characters in the real world, and things might feel MORE real now given that the pandemic has alienated many of us from society. We shouldn't over look the fact that now is the time that the MCU is beginning to introduce the world to lesser known heroes and many of them happen to be people of color. Shang-Chi is the next movie up after Black Widow and many already know that that's coming--they've been promoting it for a whole year now, lol. Shang-Chi just got it's trailer at the end of last month, so of course the MCU is going to end on that to keep it in your mind. I felt they end on Shang-Chi punching a chump in the gut because that's likely how many people felt after watching everything that's coming, winded! Marvel dropped the mic and said, "see you at the movies." Who's not going to go after getting hyped up with what's come before and what's coming? This clip right here likely saved cinema. Japan needs to do something else, cause the things we did last year aren't working this year and we're actually doing less while things are getting out of control. Turns out letting society decided what they should or shouldn't do during a pandemic isn't good governance. I don't see Japan righting this ship anytime soon--1% of the population has been vaccinated, lol. I doubt any of us will be able to see Black Widow and Shang-Chi in theaters, and even though Spider-Man is still 7 months away, I don't have faith in the government getting things under control since they've done little with lots of case studies to observe to see what does and doesn't work*sigh* I'd like to see these in the theater, but I'll likely have to stream it and watch it from home. Edit: Fantastic Four was announced at comic con when they last had one. Same logo and all. Spider-Man's last movie teased it too at the end with the construction signs number 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the colors of the members of the team.

Marvel just does a great FAN SERVICE, by releasing the 1-hour ZEMO CUT, and they are so poetic in trailers like the "phase 4" will end with "Fantastic 4", and I believe there would be no Avengers movie because the Fantastic 4 movie might be teased on July 4, 2023, on independence day. Since "Kang: the conqueror is already teased in Antman and the wasp: Quantamania, he would be the Big Bad villain of PHASE 4, as LOKI has already messed up the timeline by using the TESSERACT. The TVA is already tired of Kang as per comics. The Spiderman: No way Home is set in the multiverse which will be joined by Wanda, so this whole phase 4 will be on "MULTIVERSE EXPANSION" and then phase 5 will be set up for "Secret Wars" which will have Blade as first movie :-D

Now we know that the MCu is in an alternate Earth since that Muni bus in the Shang-Chi clip looks way too clean.

Personally I really liked the 2 original Fantastic 4 movies and if they got that cast back I would be perfectly fine with it, heck no Steve Rogers anymore so let Chris Evans return to Johnny Storm lol

On your topic of MCU opening the flood gate while DC is trying to put a bandage on a leaking pipe; this is exactly why DCEU is dying at the box offices. They have ZERO faith in the fanbase and zero trust in their directors. Marvel had a plan from Day One: We are going to make these SIX movies. Some of them will under perform. Some of them will kill it. If everything goes well, we're going to make these seven... and they will be solo films that all tell the same story. Meanwhile, at DC "Lets add more footage to the same movie!"

Black Widow doesn't need to be further advertised, Eternals only needed to be teased. But Shang Chi will be their next big movie after Black Widow so its understandable they will keep pushing its advertisement campaign. I dont see anything political about it. Phase 4 was announced all the way back in 2019 and Marvel probably already planned the lineup long before that.

The Marvels may get the X-Men in the MCU as well, it's the sequel to Capt Marvel, theirs been multiple Capt Marvels in the comic books or people with Capt Marvels powers, one being Rogue who can touch anyone and take their powers for a short time except when she touched Carol Danvers she permanently took her powers so....

I feel they ended on Shang-Chi because he's the future of MCU. To me he is going to be our Captain America character, maybe not in terms of leadership, but being the guy who is going to command respect by being lower on the power scale, but goes toe to toe with gods.
