I think its kinda silly to hold Switch exclusivity against this game when the only reason this game exists is Nintendo foot the whole bill and chose the developer for it to begin with. I partially get what you're saying but it was either this or no more MUA at all.

Black Nick Fury was already in X-Men Legends II

Game was really fun but suffered from MCU influence imo. I liked MUA1 artstyle and story much more. Gameplay wise it was fun but some of the bosses were stupid difficult on single-player mode. Unfortunate that it only released on Switch smh.

Love this game but I love the whole series. MUA 1-3 and X-men Legends 1-2 I hope we get more.

Best Marvel roster ever

THAT Nick Fury is from the comic books, specifically from The Ultimate universe.

Nah the game was really good. Simple engaging gameplay, fun bosses, nice art style which gives out a colourful comic book vibes, good roster and replay value. Big improvement over UA2, thought that one was good too.

I love Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 even more than the 1st and 2nd one. I love tue roater, artstyle and gameplay. The famerate and slowdown issues never bothered me. I'm of the few that don't give a crap about performance on a game and just want to have fun with it. People complain about Paper Mario Thousand Year Door on Switch running at 30fps and yet I don't care cause the game is still good and fun to play.

Honestly needs more unlockable costumes, if we ever get a 4 hopefully that happens, also can Doom please not be DLC like in all three games, I can get him in 1 through mods which is fine but I just wanna play as Doom asap

I loved the game, I really wish there was a way we could play MUA and MUA2

I think its insane that if this release on all platforms it would be way bigger like in this comment section alone there’s people saying they never heard of this game

I really hope we get a fourth game with all the characters from this game plus many other. Hopefully it’ll release on other consoles too

It was the grindy nature that killed this game for me personally.

if you don't level the grid or equip iso8 crystals you would be getting killed a lot easier/doing noticeably less damage

It’s biggest problem was the shit skins and the numerous currencies you had to keep grinding past where the collectibles/cosmetics were desirable. And the difficulty was ridiculous.

I liked the game a lot when it came out. But the level grinding was mind numbing. Plus some of the challenge rifts were just hard for the sake of being hard. The level requirements to able to stand a chance took so much time to reach that it nearly killed my enjoyment. I still haven’t finished all of the rifts.

switch exclusivity was really awful but the main problem more than anything else to me was how ludicrously grindy it was and the synergy system for attacks make it to where any attacks you do that aren't hitting a synergy don't do anywhere close to enough damage

I think it's the easy route to hate on this game when it's still replays great and is fun to this day. Had it not been for Nintendo ultimate alliance would've been dead (idk why no on revives it) Easily the best roster of all 3 and yeah they took some turns I didn't like (mainly the lack of being able to throw other characters and doing fusion type moves instead of everyone doing their special at once) Overall I pretty much got the switch for this and astral chain and I've been replaying this recently and having alot of fun

Played it recently and in another video I commented how I feel the game has some conflicted design, at first it feels like a simplified ninja gaiden game, then it turns into Diablo but there's not enough content for that type of gameplay loop. In fact it's not enough for neither style because or the huge roster. The hardware limitations doesn't help either when the game turns into a clusterfuck of particles And ofc it's a team ninja game. They're allergic to good cameras probably since Ninja Gaiden 2

I don't think it was a bad idea having it as an exclusive sense every other company except for Xbox had Marvel exclusives. This having all the heroes needed to be a Nintendo exclusive especially based on the comics more than any other game we've had is what puts it over the top compared to its cons for me.

To be honest I think we wouldn't get this game because they funded to get made. I hated at first but I think game would not even be made at least the cast was good.

Great review, the mention of the camera got over done really quick though.

I'd be happier if it had a different storyline. Rather than be an inspired version of mcu infinity war.

Funny this video popped up and I beat it last year yeah it’s not a great game, I still had fun though and it’s not very informative 6/10 at best tbh Enjoyment wise 8/10

I know im late but i have to ask i heard the game was missing a few costumes for the fantastic four and it seemed they didn't fix it is that still the case?

They have to release this on PC somehow and someway. Like...why did this have to be a Switch exclusive?

I really question Nova’s Status in Marvel Ultimate alliance 3 game. Both Richard Rider and Sam Alexander. Richard Rider has voice recording clips in the this game but he’s never a playable character. He only appears in the Ending. Ricard is not even unlockable character. Sam Alexander. In comics Sam is close friends with Miles and Kamala. They all join the avengers. They all left the avengers and founded the team, The Champions. (Even Kamala shouted The Champions in the game). But Sam was replace by Spider Gwen. It really odd. Even Spider Gwen said she from another universe. Isn’t there crime in her own universe she needs to worry about? Is it because Spider Gwen is more popular than Sam Alexander? I mean Sam got recognition from the cartoons I bet people would recognize Sam Alexander. Or, there is another reason why Sam Alexander is not in this game. I got to say there many spiders in marvel. There was team Bonus in this game that can fits Richard and Sam. Guardians of Galaxy Heavy Hitters. Generations Funny enough Richard and Sam was supposed to get a Marvel Generation comic but it never happened.

I honestly didn't know this game even existed.

The camera was awful. There were sections of forced perspective that sucked. Also, there was just so MUCH going on on the screen at all times it was hard to keep track of your characters. It was a really poor decision not to have characters on the bench level up. Why have all those characters if it was so hard to switch and play different ones if you hadn't touched one for a while? I hate the ISO-8 system. That's a moba based concept that sucks here. And finally, the fact that I paid for DLC characters that then had additional challenges to unlock and play as them was a terrible choice to make. I already paid for them. I shouldn't have to do these hard challenges to unlock them. I wanted to like this game so much and it was a huge let down. Nothing like MUA 1 and 2.

Great vid as usual dude! Terrible cam & terrible controls are the quickest ways to completely turn me off of a game. Which is a shame, considering they’re CORE DEVELOPMENT… boggles the mind to think that studios still push out games with that crap

So having never played this, but having played the first two a crap ton back in the day... I... am not digging the art style of the game. Looks ripped out of the MCU movies and while some of those designs are cool, I don't think it fits the series. Like you said during another point, maybe it shouldn't have been a MUA 3 and had another name instead cause, I was not expecting those designs at all. That said, Psylocke and Elsa Bloodstone being playable characters is a win for me lmao, maybe I should pick this up. Ftr, the camera does look pretty bad, but maybe I'm misremembering the OGs. TIME TO WATCH YOUR OTHER VIDEO TO REFRESH THE MEMORY lmao

I hate that Scarlet witch and Dr.Strange have nearly zero team sync because for this version of Scarlet she's not considered a mutant and only gets a buff with Strange on the team. I love the game but I hate the fact the multiplayer is just straight dead and I'd have to play with randoms because most people I play switch with don't have this game. It doesn't bother me it's exclusive because Nintendo pretty much funded it but it does suck the game is dead multiplayer wise.
