Idk why they couldn’t just spend another $20 to put sanwa buttons in.. speaking of, it’s cheap & easy to swap out the buttons & thankfully the stick is rly solid out of the box
Great review! Yaa towards the end the irony is that we do have cross pollination with FC2. Even I who picked up Arcade gaming in 2020 due to MVCA1UP, got further involved with the A1up community and it made me want to get in to FC2 so I bought a small Optiplex just for it. And we have some top MVC1 players who play on the cab and the top players on the cab do also play on FC2. The reason behind all of this is that A1up despite it's flaws is more true to the Arcade experience than anything else... People are on their cabs 1 stick 6 button.. no scrips, no controllers, no hitbox/keyboard no macros. It makes the product alluring to them and couple with Online Play no one really feels the lack of space so people absolutely get busy for extended periods of time. FC2 is definitely an awesome resource to have. . . But also the A1up community is a lot smaller, tighter, and friendlier whilst still being Competitive and mixed with Various players from the old Arcade days, to the 2009 resurgence, to new commers like myself who only been getting busy with the sticks since 2020. But A1UP The Company needs to get their shit together
I understand that it isn't perfect. This is the main reason I still have a little bit of buyer's remorse. My order hasn't been fulfilled yet so I'm constantly debating about cancelling the order. But what happens if this is the only thing we'll ever get. Waiting it out seems risky.
Nice review! Love your candor, and wish it would have been a little more polished by the time it was mass released. I'm waiting for online play to come before doing a final review of the cab
I had you in mind the other day bro wondering if you were able to get the naomi up and running. It sounds similar to what happened to me the first board I had it had a cpu issue but granted I bought mine at a gamble of potentially working. What you can try is hold down the silver cooling head while firing it up, if it shows a picture than you're good if not what I did is bought another working mother board off ebay for $100 shipping included from Japan. I saw the difference right away it's supposed to give you picture within a few seconds.
I am so grateful you even came back to check on me. But no, but it’s also because I’ve had so many other projects. I am taking delivery of a new big blue when I get back in town, at that point I’ll be working on a Naomi again man thank you. Where can I find others like yourself? I mean people that know arcade stuff.
@@AllAboutTKK lol well I'm in the same position as you bro for the love of Marvel I don't know much I just read all of that from the forums and calling some people 😅 😂 but I spoke to one guy that actually worked for sega and he gave me those suggestions to try so I shared them with you. Usually the pros or those whom been in the hobby for a long time usually give a good helping hand to get people up and running. So I tend to ask everybody lol but only the nice ones respond back.
Also u make a good point about the characters not being unlocked if u knew u werent going to have online ready. Never thought of that or at least have the option if u want to unlock them or not would of been nice.
I was thinking of getting this and sticking a Naomi board with CF reader in it. Not sure how much work would go into it. You mentioned having issues with your Naomi board. Interested to know what those issues are. Thanks for the vid.
I picked this up. Only thing I'm going to change is the buttons. The ones it come with are too stiff. So far the kids are enjoying it. Its enough space for them but not two adults.
Good review...at this point for 600 with sanwas and hap buttons with ...19 inch monitor ...I got mine still in the box waiting until online is playable before 30 day return to best buy...
Real good review and you're right these sticks were upgraded from the previous ones , this is 1 of the first machines to come out with the new sticks. Definitly has some issues but we still havent got a big update patch yet so hopefully that will clean up some of the issues and online will open up in the future. If u got that Marvel vs Cap 1 for 300 with upgraded buttons u got a insane deal pretty sure u could sell the old one for 600 right now still alot of demand for that.
I know about the arcade scene but havent had too much time to really get into it when they were hot tho i was a young bug then lol. The system looks great but i would love a system that has great controls and accessible to the online scene. And it would be nice to be able to have 2 bodies on there instead of one, it sucks it doesnt allow that much. Great review bro🙏🏾 Max Luv.
I’ve seen a lot of videos where they show stutter and lag in MvC2 which is disappointing. Also, not including Punisher is a deal breaker for me. The 2 SNES games we got should have been replaced with Punisher. It’s just way too expensive for me to just be playing different variations of MvC while the main attraction has glaring issues :/ Thanks for the review 👌
Really awesome review TKK it seems that the MVC2 cabinet you bought doesn't seem to have to many problems and that it plays really well for the most part I would buy one but it's too expensive for me. Maybe when it goes down in price I could buy one but I'll just stick with the Dreamcast version for now 👍🆒💪👊
X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom 1 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 need to be re-released on today's online home consoles and today's gaming PCs.
