To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life.

💕💯.the man was a musical LEGEND still have this album here I am once again playing"what's going on" Well Marvin if you could see the world we live in today we are right back where we were about 40 yrs ago how relevant this song is today. With the riots happening right now in america racism still present, and this whole pandemic you can ask again whats going on A LEGEND YOUR timeless music lives on💕💯A Musical Genius 🎤
What's going on is a corrupt government not for the people. He did not feel racism when he wrote his lyrics. More like the pest control in our gvt. Oppression Oppression all of us feel What's going on
I’m a white man and was riding to work with two black brothers when the blm movement was beginning Steve Harvey show played this and wasn’t a dry eye in the car.
I had the opportunity to meet Mr Gaye in person. When I was a child he would give money to the children in my neighborhood. He wrote music with my neighbor. Years later in the 70s I met him again at a Birthday Party in Detroit. Such a charming man. Thank you Mr Gaye for sharing such loving 🎶 Music with Us! goodvibes💫
I'm a 74 year old white woman but have always been a Motown girl. Marvin was so ahead of his time. He thought about the world, the environment, and people. Hope to meet him in Heaven someday!
Thank you, commenter’s at least we are on the same page, I appreciate you helping also made a difference, now we have just a group of men who can’t even talk, 🇺🇸
Marvin Gaye is one of the best singers I've ever heard my ide I will never forget about Marvin Gaye I'm 59 years young ❤️ Marvin gayes music live forever 💙
I was in a local market today and heard this playing in the background. I just wanted to shout have we learned nothing. I cannot think that as human beings we can brutalise infant children or enter hospitals by force and think for a moment that we are on anything but the wrong side. May history judge us as hard as we deserve to be.
This song reminds me that there was a moment in our past, when we really believed that we could talk to each other and really see 'what's goin' on.' I hope we can get back there.
Started High School when this came out. Prophetic lyrics ! That's when my long hair arse, met, (prophecy?) Marvin Nunn. McKinley, and Junior. I was forever changed. Man, great dudes. I think it was Marvin who lent me, maybe actually my sister, this album ! I had a hippie Auntie and Uncle, up in Canada, one Sister into Janice Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix and Joan Collins. Two sisters into Motown ! Me Mum, Anthony Benedetto, Tom Jones, Englebert Humperdinck, Andy Williams, and Dean Martin. GP's into Elvis and country music. They were from Scotland. Me Grams loved Country music 🎵. I bought a transistor radio, from my 12 years old, illegally bussing tables and washing pots and pans at Rockey's Diner ! So i was listening to the AM stations of the early 60's and 70's , sometimes at night, my radio under my pillow. Mum had said, lights out ! That was my realm of music influence, trips in summers, up north to Canada. My Uncle was big on the Beatles ! And then there was me Scottish heritage. Daughters of the British Empire, the Scottish Cultural Society. And a couple others i canny mention. Those in grammar school were listening to Waet coastal bands. Beach ⛱️ Boys. Such musical differences, and influences i found myself in the environment of. So many greats. What was your musical lineage music 🎵 friends ? My tastes are so veried, lm good as long as it's not...like bluegrass...some category like that. No offense to any artist, that music doesn't move anything for . me. James Brown used to move my body in strange ways. What's y'all's experience with music growing up, that made your music library, what it is now ?
This song is all about understanding one another...give and take - war is not the answer, we got to find a way to bring some ❤️ here today! in this world we are living. Precious...to love and be loved! xxx we got to find a way to bring some lovin here today 😘
He had a hot headed father who thought it ok to not only kill his own son, but to discard an icon like a piece of trash. I hope the old man rots in ....No amount of friction they had between them was worth the bullet...
I don't usually don't comment on my own comment but but I can't forget to add what a gift to the 🌎 Marvin Gaye was trying to relay too us the the things should known but seemed to not care about much like what's going on in the world 🌍 today R.I.P BROTHER.
