Part 4: • Marvin Herbert on Bein...
Part 2: • Marvin Herbert on Raci...
Part 1: • Marvin Herbert on Roug...
--------
In this clip, Marvin Herbert opens up about an upbringing that saw him clash with the law many times, while being raised by a father that put a huge emphasis on discipline. He explains that he grew up hating his father, because believed that his father hated him; but he later found out that his father truly loved him. He also details what his father's funeral was like, the outpouring of attendees for the event and the emotional speech that he gave at the farewell ceremony.
Later, Marvin Herbert explained how he raided his dad's stash and started selling weed at just 8-years-old, and he revealed how he learned he was getting ripped off as he got older. Marvin also spoke about how his dad found out that he was stealing from him, which led to him getting beaten, and Marvin explained how he later stood up to his father. Moving along, Marvin detailed his experience with using, which you can hear more about above.

Did he say his dad exposed him to extreme violence, abuse - and then also said his dad was a very righteous man? It’s crazy how much a boy looks up to a father. Often wanting to see him in the best light possible, until and unless they’re forced to do otherwise.

lol the hitmen in the UK are usually Albanians or something, you guys can barely get guns. British people have no idea how that gun play is. When EVERYONE is strapped and the tension is high, that’s some scary stuff bro. The 14 yr old on his bike is a threat and anyone else old enough to pull a trigger. It’s a whole different world in the US, you pull out some stupid knife and they’ll laugh at you before legally shooting you 30x lol. We did that in the 70s with switch blades and asian gangs would pull butcher knives out. Puerto Rican’s were known to cut people too and in NY they would slash people with razors like it was a magic trick. It all died out when people started getting revolvers and guns from the troops coming back home.

People say a child needs a role model as he or she is growing up, l can clearly say it is the parents who are the role models in this topic, respect and discipline is taught at home, if you got bad parents which l have seen so many times and even today l feel sorry for that child to go through life.
@cvgodd1432
@cvgodd1432 2 года назад
I love my parents to death and I loved my childhood. Thing is they turn a blind eye to everything I did, so I was smoking and selling weed at a very young age. They said something a couple times but basically allowed to me do it. It definitely slowed me down and I should be doing a lot more with my life. My dad is a immigrant so he thinks his only job is to bring in money and my mom just didn’t have time to watch me. She ran a salon and it’s pretty much all day work for her so I’d only see her before I went to bed most nights and sundays. I wouldn’t trade my childhood for anything though, I just remember having fun every day and getting what ever I asked for from my dad. I always had the most clothes and sneakers in my school, people thought I was like some big time dealer lol. I did work with my dad too and those are the time I remember the most. I loved it but when they got rid of him because they thought he was making too much. It kind of made me lost, that’s all I knew and I got paid good money. Now I have to work in this stupid clothing store for 200 a week, one week I worked 88 hrs and got 450 bucks! It was like a scam lol that’s when I quit and went back to selling weed. That turned into selling cocaine, crack, ecstasy and Oxys. Than I got hooked on Oxys and here I am 10 years later still struggling with that addiction and it’s ruined me. Physically I feel old and my teeth are all messed up now I used to have teeth a dentist would brag about. Mentally I’m just lost when I try to get sober, I don’t remember who I am or what I used to do. My friends are all gone and moved on with jobs and kids. It’s bad bro, I tell everyone to stay away from opioids man once you’re hooked. There’s a high chance you’ll never completely quit the habit. It gets into your soul. It could be worst though I guess.

@@cvgodd1432 Yeah a positive male influence is important. I hated it growing up but my dad made sure I had the sense to make good life decisions. My mom let me do whatever I wanted, she was the g in the family lol. But my Pops kept me on the straight and narrow. Well he did what he could, I dabbled in crime for about 4 years but I credit his influence as the thing that made me go straight. Even though he owned a business and worked a lot he was a very involved father. To the point where it was overbearing at times, which probably led me to rebel but ultimately that influence saved me, because I was on a crash course to prison during those years. The people who don’t live in England won’t understand but £50 notes are a big red flag here. Pull out a £50 note and people will be suspicious. Banks in my country mainly give £50 notes to us when we exchange money to travel to England so I’ve had my fair share of awkward experiences when I’ve pulled out a stack of 50s in English shops. Especially because I’m black lol. Managers get called and all that sometimes.

@@christopherm202dcfinest2 Well, it's because it's just not used much at all. Whenever you use a £50 note, it raises eyebrows lol. Whether it's for drugs, food, a car paid in cash, doesn't matter. It would make more sense to pay for a £10000 car with £50s but you'll see far more £20s in that stack of money. I just googled it and there are less £50s than £20 in circulation. I guess the best way to compare it, image there was a $1000 note invented. Wouldn't your local store be a little suspicious? Lol
@christopherm202dcfinest2
@christopherm202dcfinest2 2 года назад
@@mmehri3650 I guess lol just doesn’t make sense. Money is money but in America one of the few times someone is suspicious is when you use a big bill ( $100) for a small purchase ( $2.35) looking for change. They would think it’s a attempt to trade counterfeit money for real money.

Also Ecstatsy and all these drugs have been around for 100 years or more. Scientists started experimenting with these drugs back then and outlawed them back then. Thats why us born in the past 20-40 years cant imagine the world before video cameras and internet.

Probably wasn't called crack then. Sure it was called freebase. Richard Pryor used to joke about taking it in the 70's. Ecstasy was probably called something else then too. You’re supposed to be giving the interview, not interviewing yourself while your guest watches. It’s crazy how listening quietly without interrupting is so difficult for so many people. 7:40 he basically tells Marvin about a period of his life and tells him what he was seeing instead of asking him to tell us himself.
