very good positive reaction, cheers, real talent!! i was really mad they didn't turn, but also that shows the mediocrity of the judges Bad, very bad "coaches", they have no idea the size of his talent
I can't believe nobody turned round for Marvin. He was one of my favourites from tonight's show. I thought he was very likeable and had a fabulous voice. I'm also a huge fan of Gregory Porter so he was right up my street.
On first listening I didn't rate this much. i think I was distracted by the hat and the tap! But listening here again I think Marvin is yet another real talent that has slipped through the cracks. OK, the tap was an unnecessary inclusion, but his lovely deep tone and masterful control of phrasing and pitch should have been enough for the judges to recognise the quality. A real shame, and yet another symptom of the problems with this years' show.
+periurban I think they thought he was older than 19, they seem to be avoiding the older contestants this year. He does sound older than 19 though. Such a shame as he's much better than a lot who have gone through.
+periurban With his tone I can't believe no one turned. I thought this was up will's street. He had great control, great skatting, great tone. Loved this.
I think you're right. He always seemed to be listening for quality, rather than thinking "what do they look like? Are they marketable?" It's a shame they don't have a Wildcard option on The Voice like they do on The X Factor as he would definitely get my vote!
Although this season is filled with missed opportunities, think this was one of the biggest ones yet. IMHO he most definitely should've gone through and now the show will be sadder without him.
Marvin, your talent is so big that you gotta escuse these judges, they, they don't have tour skills nor have have the capacity to manage such a talent you are, they are indeed short for a singer like you,,, Soooo in love of your performance 💕❤️💕❗❗❗
Wow...amazing song, an amazing voice. I play the video for all my friends. Your charisma, originality, and personality put that performance straight to the top. I wish I had such talent. Man, you were fantastic! And those steps blow me away.
I love this guy! he has a cool hat and he tap danced and he sang a style that not many others have on the show, should of went through. would love to see this guy live!!
I cant believe how no one turned. Vocally speaking, he had great technique. Perhaps I wouldnt have picked that song in order to show his skills. I agree with peri as always. Amazing tone!
He started a little off, but he quickly got it right. Love he song choice. They've turned for less interesting voices. They must have gotten new sound people on the show. The quality has gone up.
I just can't believe none of them turned!!!... But, I have lived this kind of things myself before, so it doesn't really surprise me too much and I know this guy is still gonna make it somehow!!!
La verdad, no puedo creer que nadie lo eligiera , pero pensandolo bien, es evidente de acuerdo al mundo en que vivimos y al nivel de los jueces. Nadie los conoce , pero cuando te ponen en un puesto de poder, algo pasa en tu cerebro y asumes que eres una barrera. No hay duda que este hombre es demasiado talentoso para un simple show de talentos.
This guy is a real find I can't figure out why they didn't turn around. He has an old school jazz vibe, but I can totally see him being able to do something really contemporary and new with it. I think they missed an opportunity here.
Fantastic singing Marvin, I seen you walk into the function last night, and my first impression was this guy is a great musician. Would have been great to hear you play, on stage with us last night 💚
What is going on with this years performances. This is yet another reason why i have only watched the very first episode. They are not turning for the good performers!! I am so glad i haven't wasted my Saturday Nights watching this.
Whilst I HATE, LOATH, DESPISE jazz this young man has great talent and deserved to be given a thumbs up. These judges are consistently failing to see outside their own music genres.
Was very good. The problem is that if you run away from the old way of pop culture they are afraid. It is the same as when opera singers go. They always reject quade. Only in the voice France that even a singer of medieval music reaches the final
