In 1976, students at Ke'anae School on Maui videotaped this portrait of beloved kupuna, Mary Ann Pahukoa. Born in 1897, she was 79 at the time of the taping. The program was directed by teacher Doug Holt and recorded on early, portable black & white video equipment. Under the Dept. of Education's Artists in the Schools program, Joan Lander provided editing assistance and, 36 years later, remastered the video after it was digitized by 'Ulu'ulu - The Henry Ku'ualoha Giugni Moving Image Archive.
