This is why 90s R&B will forever reign supreme I mean my GOD, between MJB, Toni Braxton, TLC, Aaliyah, Janet Jackson, En Vouge, Whitney Houston and my girl Mariah Carey and many more i cant even name right this second, the 90s was the zenith of female R&B and starting in the mid 2000's it just went downhill.....
Yesss I smile watching this video it still give me the good feeling like back in the day I use to can dance doing them moves n I was singing all Mary joints wow good times Amen
Music has really changed but, it for the kids of today....I can't be mad it, my parents didn't like my music. U kinda had to figure out what my music was talking bout. Now they just say it. I went to a woman birthday party she was turning 79 they could play my music they couldn't play the music of today!
Well the Target RU-vid ad brought me here lol But I was listening and jamming to this waayyy before the Target ad. But it brought me here cause I forgot how 🔥 this song was! ❤️
Still my shit!! Me and my girls swore we was in the video!! Fighting over who was Mary!! Hunny! I knew all the words and dances!! lol Still Mary crazy!!
Jasmine Simmons Looking at this video it's crazy how much clothes dances use to wear baggy Jerseys and baggy short or baggy jeans and they were still sexy now women are always half naked or wearing leggings. Girls wore leggings in the 90's too but they covered their ass with athletic shorts
The amount of emotion, passion, and power that this woman throws out is unmatched! She giving you all her love, all her pain, and all her swag. Music IS survivor of life with Mary.
"So I'll try my best and pray to God he'd send me someone real, to caress me and to guide me towards a love my heart can feel, now I know I can be faithful, I can be your all and all, I'll give you good loving through the Summertime, Winter, Spring and Falllllll." Real Love 💖✨
@@alexiafarrell2034 As much as Suge Knight was a gangbanger he definitely knew where to place his money and energy . This' why every artist that went through his managerial skills are honoured to date. Likes of 2Pac, Mary J. Blidge, Snoop Dogg etc
This song reminds me of being in high school searching for “real love.” I could never get tired of this song!!!!!!!!! This is what this world neeeeeeds right now!
@@ruihanjia7318 I don’t know why I said hell no and it nags me sometimes. Maybe real love doesn’t have to be searched and it’s found everywhere we go. It’s inside of us. ❤❤
Oooh, take me back to the 2nd grade! You couldn't go anywhere without hearing this song and I loved every minute of it. This song would come on the radio on my way to school and my mama and I would just sing to the top of our lungs. I sang this at my little talent show with 2 other girls. I had my little red black and green Cross Colours jeans with my little white tank top and my little shiny black Jodeci boots. You couldn't tell me I wasn't cute. Oooh and I had my hair in high ponytail with my little red and white knockers. I was just too cute and singing all over them girls.
THIS is the ONE song that made her entire career. Real Love is my #1 favorite MJB song. When I think about her, this song pops in my head. God, I love the 90s.
Sal Manila Beyoncé...can’t sing? I understand that y’all have this weird ass hatred for Beyoncé but for you to say she can’t sing is fucking ridiculous. Beyoncé is a STAR rated vocalist by professional music critics and is considered the best of this generation and is compared to Mariah Carey and Barbra Streisand etc.
Sal Manila www.google.com/amp/thevocalpoint.tumblr.com/post/159131215585/vocal-profile-beyoncé/amp / www.divadevotee.com/2009/03/beyonce-vocal-profile.html?m=1 / Before saying anything about vocal ability, make sure you KNOW what you’re talking about, dumbass.
I’m a 42 year old white guy who fell in love with hip and rb in the late 80s. Summer of 92 when this came out-I was 14. RB over NYC hip hop classic beats. What’s the 411 I believe is one of best rnb albums of all time. Those days feel like yesterday although they were almost 30 years ago
RIP Prince Markie Dee thank you for contribution on Mary J. Blige's What's the 411? album and all the artists that you have produced like Mariah Carey and many more
Wow 1992 had no idea it was released back then. No wonder it sounds so good to me, I probably heard it on the radio as a child a few times. I was born in 1989. Yeah it has that familiar sound. Thank god 🙏
Man I get sad hearing this beautiful song cuz this Era is gone, summer of 92 was the best year of my life...I was 15 having fun now I'm 41 and grown with kids ,life goes so fast...thank y Mary j ur the best
Definitely one of my favorite songs by her. Music just isn't the same anymore, she really brought that soul that music needs, there will never be another Mary.
I was 14 when Mary J Blige came out in 1992 and I will never forget this video because since I'm from Toronto, back then American artists rarely wore clothes from local designers. And in this video she repped Toronto with the baseball shirt "Too Black Guys - Toronto" (the shirt she's wearing past 1:01). My class were all talking about it and from there we were all hooked.
Lady your life has come in full circle. You kept it classy when that Mr. Wrong hurt your heart. Look at your blessings now, see you have the partnership with the movie production. God had to see you close that old chapter in order for you to strive with height. Yesss lady, look at you now. 😊😊
THIS IS MY SONG FOREVER!!!..1992 I was 14 & chillin with my girls..Talkin bout we searching for a REAL LOVE..lol I'm 37 now & I found My REAL LOVE at 21..& We still REAL LOVING IT..lol
The Queen! Defined this Era of RnB for us Gen Xers. Thank you Mary J for the memories! If there was ever a song that could get me up with busted feet and dancing in the club.
Man oh man The good ol days, I"m not a 90s baby ( Born in 2000), But my momma made sure my brother and I knew what music was if that makes sense and I'm glad she did
[Verse 1] We are lovers through and through And though we made it through the storm I really want you to realize, I really want to put you on I’ve been searching for someone to satisfy my every need Won’t you be my inspiration? Be the real love that I need [Chorus] Real love, I’m searching for a real love Someone to set my heart free Real love, I’m searching for a real love [Verse 2] Ooh, when I met you I just knew that you would take my heart and run Until you told me how you loved for me, you said I’m not the one So I slowly came to see all of the things that you were made of And now I hope my dreams and inspiration lead me towards a real love [Chorus] Real love, I’m searching for a real love Someone to set my heart free Real love, I’m searching for a real love I got to have a real love [Bridge] Love so true, and oh baby, I thought that love was true I thought that you were the answer to the question in my mind But it seems that I was wrong, if I stay strong, maybe I’ll find A real love [Verse 3] So I’ve tried my best and prayed to God he’ll send me someone real To caress me and to guide me towards a love my heart can feel Now I know I can be faithful, I can be your all and all Ill give you good lovin' through the summertime, winter, spring and fall [Chorus] Real love, I’m searching for a real love (Real love, real love) Someone to set my heart free Real love, I’m searching for a real love Real love, I’m searching for a real love Someone to set my heart free Real love, I’m searching for a real love [Bridge] See, I'm searching for a real love and I don't know where to go (Real love, I’m searching for a real love) Been around the world and high and low and still I never know (Someone to set my heart free Real love, I’m searching for a real love) How it feels to have a real love cause it seems it's not around Gotta end it in this way 'cause it seems he can't be found Chorus] Real love, I’m searching for a real love Someone to set my heart free Real love, I’m searching for a real love Real love, I’m searching for a real love Someone to set my heart free Real love, I’m searching for a real love Real love
I'm not a hip-hop-soul guru - I just love pure vocals and pure music. This record makes me cry now just as when I first heard it in 1992. Wraps around me like a warm blanket - and protects me from the CRAP music that is today.
