** Starts shimmying while walking through Walmart** - ** hits the Mary J bop half way down the snack aisle** ..That Barry White sample 👍🏽 Mary is my fave singer, y’all. I’m going through memory lane with each song of hers. (12/13/19)

The people forget Mary was really given the people choreography and vocals. Say what they want but she is THE REAL LAST LEGEND and left a blueprint for her daughters AND sons.

Carla Linton. I got The My Life on cassette tape when it first came out. But I kept playing it so much it tore up. So I bought it on CD. And i still have The CD.
I wonder do Mary ever sit at home bored with a dull moment and look back at all her videos and performances? If she does I know she has to be in amazement and awe of herself 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I’m a big fan and no matter how many times I go back and look I’m inspired and in amazement, awe everytime. What a damn enchanting career, just wow!!!
Bought this Album on cassette tape when it came out, this was my favorite song on it, and I'm just TODAY finding out there's a video......and Mary looks so good in it. Smh 😞
One thing I have noticed about 90s videos you were going dance in the rain, a warehouse, clubs, streets, have some bomb ass dancers, etc. I miss that format because you know the video's going to be Lit!
I love her!!! She is my hero. She helped me get out of my then situation I was. I would love to just hug her and say thank you. She will never know what she did and continues to do for me.

Just realized that the tempo of the Mary version of Barry White's Ecstasy When You Lay down Next to me is just a little slower. Any young'uns heard Barry's original?

@@DavidRichardson95 Yeah. What's different about the video on VEVO, is that it was the Matt X version that was uploaded. The original version (which plays on TV) had the female backup dancers.
"Yo I swear I'mma report you!"😭😭🤣🤣 But you ain't lieing! Yep, her dancing was the very first thing I thought to myself when the video played and started cthu!
Carla Linton. Another one of my favorite songs by My Black Hip Hop Soul Sista Mary J. Blige is called. You Bring Me Joy. This is one of my favorite Old School Jams back in the day.
This song was originally from Barry White’s “ Ecstasy, when ya lay down next to me”. It was released in the fall of 1977. Then in the early 90s it was sampled by MJ Bliege and it was revamped very well 👍🏿 not gon lie.

Imagine somebody starting out 0:58 in an obnoxiously high Whitney Houston key for no reason whatsoever. Yeah, that was me.😉 I have so many good memories behind this record. Singing in my lil' pink/yellow echo microphone and making up steps w/ my friends. After years of debating my favorite Queen Mary album _(What's the 411, My Life & Share My World),_ I've finally made a decision. My favorite is _My Life._ The memories shine through the most. _You Gotta Believe, I Never Wanna Live Without You, Be With You, Mary's Joint_ and _Don't Go._ Come on! I'm getting chills just thinking about it. Yeah, Imma have to rock w/ _My Life._
