Mary Lou McDonald sits down with Tommy Bowe and Muireann O'Connell to discuss her recent hysterectomy and how such a serious surgery can cause you to reflect on yourself.
She explains the importance of openly discussing issues that affect women and why having her surgery in the Rotunda Hospital was a "full circle" moment for her.
She also gives her opinion on the Irish healthcare system and why so many healthcare staff are emigrating.

If you pay medical aid insurance, you get the care. That's how insurance works. And sometimes you have to sacrifice other things in life to afford the insurance. In my case, my medical insurance comes before any luxuries in life and I have never regretted it.

@@biancalawrence3178 of course she will have to go into colliation with another party to form a government unless she gets an overall majority which is very unlikely Finn Gael have already said they won't form a government with SF so that only leaves FF and the greens so go figure! Do you actually know anything about how politics work and what it takes to form a government?

FG have said they won't go into coalition with SF and some FF members have threatened to walk out if they have to join with SF. Part from Irish unity, there is a wide gap of policy between the parties with SF wanting more socialist type policies (no, I'm not saying they're socialists). They may bundle together some of the smaller parties, depending on how the voting goes.@@cathycupcake6849
