HD 1080p. In honor of the London revival of "Mary Poppins" opening this week, here's the first stage Mary, Olivier Award winner Laura Michelle Kelly, in "Practically Perfect." Kelly created the role when the stage version had its world premiere in London in 2004; she's seen here during her run in the Broadway production in 2011. Jane and Michael are Sadie Seelert and David Gabriel Lerner.

Oh my god she was stunning in this. Every Mary since has been a caricature. Kelly was so poised and had this wonderful eccentricity and air of mystery about her. And that voice - pure, clean, and cool. Thanks for this!

I've actually seen her in the 2016 national tour of The King and I in Providence, Rhode Island on the first performance of the tour!

What a delight!!! Laura Michelle Kelly IS Mary Poppins! I had the pleasure of speaking with her while she was in her King and I run and she exudes the “poppins essence” to this day. Practically perfect indeed.

Beautifully shot, and Laura in this role was just a dream. Saw her live in London back in 2006. I assume a full show of this exists, though unreleased? If otherwise, please let me know!
