I’m so glad they went with the Royal Doulton Bowl sequence over the Anthropomorphic Zoo, it was much more fun than the AZ seems like it would have been. Who knows though, I might change my mind if I saw it played out. That would have been fun to see done. The “vintage” 2D animation was Trip a Little Light Fantastic, it brought me right back to my childhood. I loved seeing it updated!

I used to wish to be in a movie when I was little. Now that I look back on it, the ones who had movie stars as parents and were VERY cute had the most chance of starring in a movie, both of which I was not. Not that I resent my parents, they are wonderful, it’s just sometimes I wished I was in a movie so much.

You'd be amazed at how many men in their 40s 50s and over do not have a single grey. So many older dudes won't admit to dying their hair though. But any man 40 and over without a grey hair does. And it is silly and kind of ugly.

The Sherman brothers wrote a song called, the Chimpanzoo. Mary Poppins Returns had a song called, the Anthropomorphic Zoo. Interesting that the "zoo" scenes were cut from both movies.

8:45. That is not what the song is about. The song is about not mis/prejudging things/people. Get to know them, read the pages, before you judge them. It is actually a bit of foreshadowing for later in the movie.

They didn't actually act it out. It was just an idea at the time. They chose to do what you see in the movie because it is better.

In the original Mary Poppins when they were dancing with the penguins it wasn't really flawless because Mary Poppins when she looked at the characters or when the characters were talking to her she wasn't flawless with looking at the character that was talking to her. I'm not seeing of the original it does have flaws. In the original Mary Poppins didn't even look directly into the penguins eyes or any of the characters that were added. But because of technology and different methods these days that could be fixed.
