Mary Tyler Moore: What a talent, she is so missed! She was always known for her comedic talent, but she had dramatic acting chops as well. It takes a great actress to go from "turning the world on with a smile" to the cold, distant mom that she portrayed in the Academy Award winning movie Ordinary People.
1:56 = epic! The preacher was right: Laughter at a funeral can be wonderfully cathartic, so long as the deceased had a sense of humour in life. I'll never forget my cousin, at my dad's funeral, reminiscing about their golfing together, and re-enacting an incident by producing a pocketful of beer caps (as if supposedly from Dad's golf bag) and casually tossing them on the ground, making us all laugh gratefully through our tears. (Not really funny unless you were there and knew him, I guess)
Meade Skelton Yeah she died in a car crash on a secret date with Paul McCartney in 1969. They were both replaced with lookalikes who were both, in an incredible coincidence, just as talented as the originals. The replacement Paul made a veiled reference to this in the song "mary had a little lamb" which he recorded with Wings in 1972: "Everywhere that Mary went, the lamb was sure to go." Most people thought it was just the lyrics to a nursery rhyme but those in the know know better.
