I just subscribed to your Channel this is the first time I'm seeing this you guys are great at catching crabs, hey man you got this down to a routine I guess you have to throw the smaller ones back in I guess you want the big ones there's probably rules and regulations! It was really fun watching your video! Keep on crabbing guys! Bob storm Harleysville PA! Montgomery County so we are not responsible for polluting the Chesapeake from where we live! It's so important to keep these water Waze clean and pristine it's your livelihood. I would love to eat crabs but 4 years ago I became allergic to Lobster shrimp and crab it really sucks I had to change my diet totally! Used to catching crabs in the ocean and chucking them up onto the beach where somebody is waiting to put them in a bucket so the seagulls don't get them! I do love crabs right out of the ocean! Once again you guys are brilliant keep on doing what you're are doing, last time I was in Baltimore I ate at a really beautiful Crab house down by the marina where they have the aquarium at. It was wonderful eating crabs then I had so much fun this was probably in the late '80s or early '90s? You guys were pretty young back then probably learning how to do this! Thanks again for the beautiful food that you bring to our tables! DRS.
I learned how to run a trot line when I was about 7, by the following summer my Dad gutted a old wood heavy heavy inboard boat, put some heavy wood seats in it and gave me a old Honda outboard about 10 horsepower at best to go crabbing in. It was really just something to keep me out of his hair while I was off school. That old heavy wood boat was my trusted crab and fish transportation for a long time. That thing was like a ww1 battle tank. I remember Haystack Calhoun running at my boat one day like a crazy person!! When he got about 4-5 feet from me he dove in my boat and dumped both bushels of my #1 males!! He was drunk as Cooter Brown and couldn't stop laughing at me!!
That's some nice trottin' fellas. We used chunks of salted eel, tied right into the line - ran it over an old boat trailer keel roller. Saw you picked up a few doubles.))) You ever been out at night, and caught em swimmin' on the surface? That's the most fun, and productivity, I ever had crabbing.
@@HooksetTv Gotcha, yeah i had been pier fishing for crabs for years and this was a first for me seeing clams being used, but i can totally understand how well they would work for crabbing. Thanks again for replying.
