February 8, 2023 in Laurel, Maryland, a man is walking near a busy intersection, at the corner of Laurel Fort Meade and Russett Green East.
The area is bustling when suddenly the sound of gunshots.
Investigators said a witness called 911 and said a gray Nissan Altima pulled up next to the man and the passenger got out and shot him.
“They were pretty traumatized by what had taken place,” said Al Maresca, Deputy Marshal with the US Marshals Service.
Evidence, they say, led them to identify 27-year-old Christopher Rojas as their suspect.
