Correction on the Mystics!!! Quita, the Washington Capitals and Wizards are not moving to Northern Virginia. The owner just inked a deal to stay in Washington, DC. The Mystics will schedule games as needed in the larger arena.

I think they have a preseason game in May that usually plays at Capital 1 arena. . Lots of kids/ schools come since it happens before kids are out for summer. I wonder if this bumps up the annual attendance. Not sure

Long time Mystics season ticket holder here. A lot of fans hated the move to ESA. Some high school gyms are bigger than ESA. Don't even have a jumbotron. Virginia politicians didn't pass the Wizards and Capitals moving to VA.

Only pre-sale tickets were restricted to fans in the local area, which I think is a good thing. It gives local fans a chance to purchase tickets at market price before scalpers get to them and re-sell them at ridiculous prices. I wish all venues would be that proactive when dealing with scalpers.

Big Ten race is going to be nuts next year. From west to east, the contenders are UCLA, USC, Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio State, and now Maryland looks to be in the mix. Tough luck for Rutgers. They got a huge rebuild to do after Coach Stringer retired.

I am also thinking about crowd capacity lately. And what you said about the WNBA not being ready for growth has also raised concerns I have as well. Like every WNBA team should do play in a place that can hold close to 10,000 that should be the standard. But that’s easier said than done. Like The Atlanta Dream do have options at other venues. If you look up arenas near Atlanta there are plenty of good solid places. It’s just whether or not they come to a deal with a place. As for the Washington deal that was struck down last month. So Wizards and Capitals are staying in DC. So I don’t what that means for the Mystics. And I hope the Dallas Wings play in their new home soon.

Even w/ the Clark Effect, 5 to 7.000 Minimum, but that's what should have been done from the Start of the league in 1997 or to Eliminate the Risk of Debt of Arena Cost when they tried to put Teams in Big Pro Cities, thinking even if they got a 1 to 5 % Die-Hard Fan population; they'd sell out the MSG or LA Forum/ Staples Center sized Venue & turn a Profit, instead of going the Safer, Smarter route & create Clubs in Non- Pro towns w/ Solid Small to Large College markets, which Still can be done to Help CLARK & her Co-Stars help the WNBA pay off the Debts they created w/ bad business strategy to break even, and turn a Corner to make a Long- overdue profit.

In the middle of watching the video so I apologize if it'll be mentioned later, but regarding the arena sizes and ticket sales I was doing some WNBA research and saw that the largest attendance for one game was for the Detroit Shock on September 16, 2007 with 22,076 in attendance for game 5 of 2007 Finals. Wondering if/when that record will be broken this year. Would love to see it happen!

Quita I think what the Dream is doing still makes sense. My mainly with the part that they don’t scalpers buying up tickets, they’d rather have people in Atlanta and the surrounding areas to be able to come to games.

Good problem to have when too many fans to tickets. Bigger fan base means bigger TV deals. I love to see the growth of the WNBA. I believe it’s important that the NBA collaborate and support the WNBA now more than ever.

I'm embarrassed for the Dream. 3500...🤐 They did better at Georgia State for their inception game in 2008. Their marketing strategy has been MIA for years and ticket sales continued to plummet, especially after Erika De Souza and Shoni Schimmel were shown the door. Two HUGE fan favorites.

that's the number or arena size, plus 2 to 4000 (5000/ 7000) that should have been in place when the League Began in 97, but they were over-confident they could go 2 the Big-Towns & corner enough of the population to sell out Instead of going to Non- pro cities, play in smaller places & bigger arenas 4 "selected" games 2 eliminate Risk of large Debts, and turn small profits that grow, w/ more Teams, & better help Salaries; not sure, how much debt & how long it will take for CLARK & Cast to help the League break even & turn over a long-overdue profit; how the WNBA ratings / finances will do w/ the Remaining Stars if the Fever fail to make a big Playoff run will be interesting; Will people watch ? I'd say Yes, but Atlanta will need to re-locate the fever game (s) and / or think about re-using GA TECH, but it's possible the reason they're Not playing all their Home Games there or the Hawks arena is because of the Money losses.

LA Sparks first games are in Long Beach due to Crypto being renovated. One of those games is Indiana. Capacity is just over 4000 - fumbling tne bag!

First off great job. I agree the WNBA should have had this marketing succession plan for the last 4 years given the increased popularity. Some teams not preparing to move their teams to bigger arenas is part of my problem with the WNBA and some owners. As cruel as this sounds if your cant afford the team you need to be pressured to sell it if you dont have foresight for growth and to spend for your team. Its unfair to hold other owners with funds to a low standard because they can truly treat and pay their players their values, via travel, training, medical and of course financially. Me and my sister was talking about their lack of marketing during March madness and the draft. She wants to work for the Skys marketing team cause their not cutting it, they could really be capitalizing on Angel and Camilla right now to build up the season is just one example. I love Kelsey doing the camp for the college players it allows the players to grow their games while in college but also expose themselves to their future teammates/opponents of the W. They then grow their appreciation the women that came before them and can compare more of themselves to their female contemparies instead of just NBA players.

Atlanta local who was traveling when pre-sale tickets came out... was definitely annoyed at the georestriction! I get it though... ticket scalping can be crazy. That being said... it's embarrassing for the league that the Dream plays at a stadium that high school volleyball tournaments are held at! There's tons of arenas in the Atlanta area that they could move too. I know the Dream are currently in a bit of a rebuild as well with the newer, invested leadership, so hopefully in a few years the Dream will be in a stadium that they deserve.

Consider Angel Reese as a p/small forward, Kamilla Cardoso at Center, with Briana Turner at pf unless Angel is used as a p/pf. Rational: Angel was a point guard prior to growth spurt in high school 🏫; and, she frequently handled the ball coast to coast for LSU or brought the ball past mid court for the guards. She has a nice midrange shot and is getting very good with 3 point shots around from all points on the court; she is also another very good passer for Kamilla and Brianna or any other forward. A p/sf averaging 20 pts, 12 rebounds, 2 steals, 40 % from 3, with overall fg % above 55 %, and 5 to 6 assists per game are A'Jae Wilson number numbers. Other suggestion, backup centers of 6 '3" to 6'5" or above.😢

Good job expressing that the WNBA needs to address the arena capacity issues that's prevalent throughout the W! Having said that, I don't believe this is a good time to be expanding the WNBA...I believe-as you pointed out-the commissioner of the WNBA and the stakeholders need to concentrate on expanding the arena capacity for the current teams in their fan base! More importantly, let's at least make a sustainably profit, where the WNBA can stand solely on revenues generated by the W...without the NBAs life-support subsidies, which has kept the WNBA alive since its inception! So, yeah...I want to we see the WNBA and its stakeholders address the training facilities and arena capacity issues (which I’m happy to say that my hometown Las Vegas Aces, fortunately don’t have due to Super-WNBA owner and fan, Mark Davis’s love and investment in his players and coaches, but most important the Las Vegas Aces’s fans!) before they move forward with expanding to 16 team. Let's not repeat history here...when the W prematurely expanded… then and had to contract the league... Instead, I hope the W concentrates on marketing the WNBA self-substantiable and most importantly, profitable through increased merchandise sales, and to piggyback off what Michael said; strategic partnerships with current or pro athletes and celebrities to grow the W!

Very informative. Love the opening intro and eye catching graphics! 🔥 Thank you for shining a light on Kelsey Plum’s Dawg class. KP is one of my faves along with A’ja Wilson and the rest of the Aces! Can we get a video on A’ja’s foundation and what’s she’s doing for young girls? These are the types of stories that disprove the narrative that the current players are jealous and bitter of the rookies and future prospects. As for the WNBA, I agree with the chat. They are fumbling this surge in momentum. They should have seen this coming and planned accordingly. The marketing is subpar at best outside of Clark. Also, the size of some of these arenas is shocking! 3000+ for the Atlanta Dream? That’s crazy. Now on to my Sky. I became a fan last year when they hired Coach T-Spoon. I’m super excited about the addition of Kamilla and Angel. Also, Brynna as I learn more about her. Management should be capitalizing on Angel’s massive fan base and Kamilla’s international appeal. They are both stars not to mention national champions. I’m predicting the Aces and the Sky in this year’s championship. 🤞🏽

Maybe the WNBA doesn't care about arena attendance as they do the revenue from TV viewership. 50% occupancy in arenas that do have the seats doesn't instill any confidence in the investment.

I was bummed when Jersey Wolfenbarger, Saylor Poffenbarger(pronounced Poff-in-bar-ger) and Tahlia Scott entered the transfer portal. However, I think they’ve all landed in good spots for them. Well, Jersey at LSU remains to be seen but I’m hopeful. My Lady Razorbacks are just decimated 😢 We have no one in the upcoming recruiting class that’s in the top 100. The AD needs to clean house. Fire Mike Neighbors. Get a winning coach and a better recruiting staff. 😤

Another good one, and great graphics! Quita, you have built a great entertaining and informative channel, and you have done it the right way-hard work, dedication and honesty. With that being said, despite your best human efforts, this channel's exponential growth over the past 12 months isn't normal or natural. In fact, it's quite supernatural. Make no mistake about it; the hand of God is all over the sudden surge of subscribers because you have activated some "spiritual laws."
