MAS 36 “Second Model” (7.5 French) History & Shooting Demo 

Once upon a time they were everywhere at gun shows for next to noting.

The Legionnaires were using that rifle at some point before the FAMAS..

I had a handful of MAS 36's and 36/51. I used 6.5x55 brass to reform to 7.5x54 to load. And to make rear sight adjustable I drilled out rear sight to fit spent 22lr cases with peep holes drilled in different locations to print to point of aim with reloads. Loved them, but traded them off to try something different. Got them in like new condition.

gewehr 98 rear sight base my is lose and it move when I shoot . forward how do i fix it. And a very great video you made i like mas 36

you used to be able to get one of these for about 100 bucks. i didn’t .. now i really really regret it lol

I love collecting this old bolt action rifles! What I don't love is the fact being a left handed sob sucks trying to work these actions. 😂

Never take the forestock off! If you do make sure you have all the lettered rear sight leafs bc you'll need a different one.

Nice review buddy 👍👍 I think it’s something how you brought up that if you put two of these rifles together you can get them stuck using the bayonet detent lol it’s one of those things that your like I shouldn’t have to say this but I’m gonna do everyone a favor and say it so don’t do it lol thank you for another history lesson buddy many thanks 😊

I love this rifle. Too bad the gun itself is impossible to find here in Finland not mentioning the ammo...Good presentation. More shooting if something and some accuracy testing perhaps? ;)

A cool rifle. The french foreign legion used it for training up to the 1980 . Greetings from Austria.
